Sorry for the multiple post... it seem the forum bugged when I clicked on the emote icon.

Thank you Andrew, I finaly found my Serial for GC2, I used it instead of my TGN number and... voila! Everything was working fine.

(My GC2 serial was in my junkmail folder, that's why I thougth I never received it. Just in case other do the same mistake.)

It's the serial number I had Stardock Central send me. And I also used the one from the original Email they sent me, and I also used the one that Stardock Central displays when I selected my GC2 games registration information (they are all different!). Please advise.

For the box orderers, who got a temporary serial number, can they use this do make a metaverse char? Or do we have to wait for the box to come before we can participate in the metaverse?

I've rebooted and used IE instead of Firefox and emailed to get a new activation number and all for naught. I'm going to quit trying to create a character for the metaverse till after I get the game so that all this messing around doesn't screw up my final download.

I tried both the serial that was in the email I received when I preordered GalCiv2 (download only) and the serial in that email that contains all of your serials.

I'm not sure if I'm just supposed to wait until the game is actually released and activated or that there's something wrong with my account. The only thing that I can think of that could cause a problem is that I have 2 accounts registered with a single email address (SakkraCommander and Lord Psilon, don't know why I ever registered 2 usernames, but hey ).

when i used firefox to add a character i jsut get the image of the iconian where it says "data processing..." indefinately.
Switching to IE fixed the problem but I hope i can use firefox for my metaversing in the future because i hate IE so very very much

Citizen Nermnim, I use FF 1.5.0.1 with the NoScript & Adblock extensions and I could create my metaverse characters without any problems.

It could either be the FF version you are using or an extension or a feature that you might have activated that could be causing the problem.

Comment #18 (from Citizen maathyas, which btw, thank you for your post) explains pretty much what is recommended here. Make certain you are running the latest version of FireFox and that you do not run Ad/Script blockers that prevent asynchronous JavaScript communication. If you do have script blockers running, be certain to add GalCiv2.com & Stardock.com to the trusted sites lists.

I'm getting the exact same error. I've tried both IE and firefox.

Same here on that CLSID error. I've tried the usual stuff (rebooting, trying IE, etc) to no avail.

Anyone have a fix for this, or is it server-side?
