Don't Put On a Uniform, Put On a Bumper Sticker

Rick Santorum...Patriot

http://santorumexposed.com/serendipity/archives/123-Ask-Not-What-Santorum-Can-Do-For-You.html
Acoording to GOP Senator Rick Santorum, you don't have to put on a uniform to serve your country. You just have to put one of his bumper stickers on your car;

"And yet we have brave men and women who are willing to step forward because they know what's at stake. They're willing to sacrifice their lives for this great country. What I'm asking all of you tonight is not to put on a uniform. Put on a bumper sticker. Is it that much to ask? Is it that much to ask to step up and serve your country?"

I mean, it's not like he tried to fire them up by telling them they were enslaved and oppressed by the opposition faction.

No, that's for people from davad's side of aisle.

I'm sure the soldiers really appreciate your magnets and having debates online.

Maybe they do...ever think of that? After all, someone has to shore them up a little and defend them against people like you.

I know....I just threw that in. I should have said "personally" in there somewhere.

Why in the world would you think they need defended from someone like me?
I have to laugh at this. nice try Davad. But I think you have been harpooned. I am late to this debate, but I do love a good one.

And this is not one. Doc Miler already shot you down. RW and Stute just accentuated the point.

Now can we get back to specifics? As in do you have any?

Or are you just going to regale us with inanities?
inanities?

i'd love to hear how a 'rick santorum for senate' bumpersticker supports anything...but rick santorum.

i gotta admit you just expanded the inanity frontier.

I guess that is a thank you?

i really can't decide which is worse: being the person from whom the only defense needed is a silly bumpersticker...or the persons who for whom the last line of defense is that same silly bumpersticker.

My, "plantation" will surely be the war cry for you guys!

I thank you for serving, I really do, but if you're trying somehow to belittle me for not serving, please don't go there, because I very much wanted to, and I tried.
Davad never implied that--it's your own overreaction.

When something is said about a senator from another state to which I reply in kind and then I get corrected by someone that lives there, I tend to shut-up afterwards....not make fun of them and their reply like you did.

So you're saying that Hillary is off-limits but for New Yorkers, huh?
Is it that much to ask to step up and serve your country?" This is unbelievably embarrassing. Yet Santorum is not--despite drmiler's ridiculous charge--just a Republican in name only, for he is echoing the administration that if you go out and shop to keep the economy afloat, wave the flag or magnetize it, you are supporting the war and incidentally the Republican Party in which Santorum is a leader of the Senate; and therefore a Santorum sticker is tantamount to supporting the troops and the war.

Guy not only expands it, he pioneered it on JU.

The concept of a "Re-Elect Santorum" sticker is supporting your country is funny.
The very point of your blog, which so many evasively criticized because inane truth hurts.

I am flattered! Such respect.

I NEVER stated nor implied that they were off-limits. How very democratic of you to spin it that way! My ridiculous charge? Just go look at his voting record. It speaks for itself! He is most definetly a RINO! No matter "what" you say. But then I would expect no less from the left.

Could it be that he is well behind in the polls? Therefore, he cannot possibly be a viable Republican.

I've looked at his voting record, and the only thing I have seen that's he's outside of the majority of the party on is gun control. Why don't you educate us a little on what he stands for that is outside the party?

somebody musta tossed some acid into drmiler's metamucil. how else to explain him pointing folks to sites where they actually say stuff like this:

Rick, like many other conservatives, has ties to Amway, a company built on greed and fraud. If Rick is ethical, why is he taking money from a company that is just a big pyramid scheme with cultish overtones?

And if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. Does that undermine the fabric of our society? I would argue yes, it does. It all comes from, I would argue, this right to privacy that doesn't exist in my opinion in the United States Constitution.
-- Senator Rick Santorum, Republican from Pennsylvania, 2003

and...

Did you know Rick likened the Democrats to Nazis multiple times? First vis a vis the Schiavo case, and later over the Democrats' attempt to filabuster judicial appointees. Rick later claimed he "meant no offense," but he did not retract his statement

if i didn't know it don't exist i might think i've died and went to heaven

Then they must have put LSD in yours fool. It's also a place where they say things like"

A sample quote from Rick Santorum, the junior senator from Pennsylvania:

And if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. Does that undermine the fabric of our society? I would argue yes, it does. Is this Rick's or the government's business?

I've seen all those sites before, they're all pretty liberal sites. Where are the sites where republicans want him out? I'm definitely not defending this douchebag, I just still do not see real issues that he's outside the rest of the party on.

Tell me drmiler, what in your mind, are the core principals of the republican party?

cover one eye with your hand and reread my reply #47. see? i already included the one you quoted.
