More Corruption in DC

More Corruption in DC

but this time the MSM buries it, why?

A former aid to Representative Jefferson (D) of LA pleaded guilt today on corruption charges. He will face up to twenty years in jail for demanding bribes for his Congressmen. Here are the links to two buried stories.

Where is the out rage and the screams? While Abrumoff gave out vacation golf trips, and legal campaign contributions, not one MSM has even placed this story near the front page. This was a strait up shake down for hard cash, but not a word.

Another shake down swept under the carpet has been the Ms. Clinton's Hollywood fundraiser that has sent one of her campaign finance director's to jail for lying to the FEC about a missing $400,000 dollars and over $100,000 in unreported travel charges. A half a million dollars makes a few golf trips look silly now, don't it?

Lets just place a cherry on the top of under reported scandals with the pardoning of Mr. Rich for over $48 million dollars in IRS taxes. When Miss Rich donated 1.3 million to the DNC, $70,000 to the Ms. Clinton campaign and a cool $450,000 to the Clinton library that we know of (it may be more but the library refuses to release the contributor's records). Boy, paying $2 million to politicians in exchange for $48 million taken away from paying the national debt, is a very good deal.

I'm not defending Jefferson, he's obviously a crook just like Delay. My point is that the story was not buried at all. The alleged charges against Delay are far more sweeping than the ones against Jefferson's aide. There's also the fact that Delay is a much higher profile Congressman than Jefferson. Therefore, it's understandable that there has been much more coverage of Delay. There are also other corruption stories with GOP Congressman that have been reported far less than Delay, because of the scope of the charges and the fact that Delay was the majority leader.

Far more sweeping?  One count of diverting money, not into his own pocket, equals numerous counts of extorting bribes?  And the head of the CBC is a nothing position?

Your spin is showing.
