New Subscriber Intros

Let us know who you are.

Just an idea to throw out there....what with the subscription drive going on.
How about a Sticky for new SUBSCRIBERS to intro themselves. You see this on a lot of the sites out there. Something to give people a way to kinda ease into the community without having to worry about stepping on toes or feel like they're intruding into threads, etc.

That kind of post might be able to catch up to Xaltec's "Word Association" fairly quickly.

So for you noob SUBSCRIBERs post a little something about yourself. You know....real name, bank account & credit card numbers, SSN, home address, etc. (just kidding)

Hi all, I brought Object Dock a few weeks back and just love it. I've always fiddled around with my computer and will probably never stop. The work you guys and gals do in making all theses works of art is just fantastic. It's just one big lolly store. I live New Zealand and are in the middle of moving cities. I want to star skinning, though are pushed for time as it looks like a bit of a learning curve. Anybody got an opinion about what would be the easiest customizing thing to learn first??? I have some experience in Photoshop, though haven't used it for awhile (that time thing again). You all keep up the marvellous work and know there are people out here that really appreciate what you do. My desktop will never be boring again.

Love the welcome sign above

When a Kiwi moves city it's inevitably to Australia....;)

Welcome, custardpotcat. Kiwis are most welcome here!

Pick up that Photoshop and dust it off! Can't have the Aussies claiming all the fun.

Welcome, custardpotcat. Good to have you here! \o/

My personal recommendation for something to skin would be Objectdock Backgrounds. I've never made them myself (I use Winstep Nexus Ultimate) but I have it on good authority that they're nice and easy to do once you know what you're doing. Best of luck to you whatever you choose to try your hand at.

Welcome to the WC Custardpotcat. Aside from doing docks (I use both Nexus and Objectdock) there is Rainlendar. If you do do Rainlendar check out the old version first - version 0.21 - you can get it here - http://www.softlookup.com/display.asp?id=77543

Then you can try the new version - 2.9 - here http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_rny_download&Itemid=30

or if you're really daring there is a beta - here http://www.filehippo.com/download_rainlendar/

Either way have fun.
