Just an idea to throw out there....what with the subscription drive going on.
How about a Sticky for new SUBSCRIBERS to intro themselves. You see this on a lot of the sites out there. Something to give people a way to kinda ease into the community without having to worry about stepping on toes or feel like they're intruding into threads, etc.

That kind of post might be able to catch up to Xaltec's "Word Association" fairly quickly.

So for you noob SUBSCRIBERs post a little something about yourself. You know....real name, bank account & credit card numbers, SSN, home address, etc. (just kidding)

Thank you for your help.

I am having a problem in the Network Adapters Selection.

It keeps changing back to MS TCP loop. X(

You might want to consider also a more "compact" version as well (for smaller screens)

Don't know why it's doing that. You can check the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > VB and VBA Program Settings > Sysmetrix > Program Configuration. Scroll down to Network Adapter and see if the correct ip address is there. If it isn't you can change it.

I found it in HKEY_CURRENT_USER> SOFTWARE > VB and VBA Program Settings> Sysmetrix > Program Configuration

I deleted it and it's name

Um, I don't know! But you do need to remove 127.0.0.1.

Some bits of Sysmetrix are so old they are dysfunctional at best. For example it uses MBM, but MBM doesn't work with many mobos these days.

No, it only picks up a single core. It's an old program which doesn't receive any updates :(

Hello all! Long time customer, first time poster. I'm kina a Trekkie Geek as my daughter tells me. Even though I don't have a techie background. I don't have a clue as to how to do the things that are done here. I'm glad you folks do.

I was trying to find ways to fit windows into an L.C.A.R.S. theme. And it just never looked right. Untill someone turned me on to this site. When I saw the fabulous stuff here I immediately Bought windowblinds. I also bought cursor fx impulse bootskin and logonxp. I'm a fair artist, but really lack the skill to make a skin .

My current fave is the Halo video game UI skin. What I would really like to find is a skin that looks like the hollographic interface you see in the Iron Man menu screen I really love the simi transparent see thru menus and the angled borders.

I Have been poking arround looking for something simmilar to no avail.

Is there a skin out there that comes close? Even better. Is there a skinner that would be willing to take a crack at making one?

Wow! What an active crowd! You folks are a lively bunch. Thanks for the welcome. I guess I'm gonna have to learn skining. like I learned to draw and animate on my Trek forum called Okudagrams. Lots of great tallent there. Unfortunately a few ego's as well.

But not for them I wouldn't have the meager skills I have gained in the last 3 years.

I have made several screensavers and animatted backcround screns "gifs" Unfortunately they only work on Xp.

Icould post the links to them if anyone is interested. but not sure of the potocalls here on that kind of thing.

They are all on my myspace.  myspace.com/comandcenter . I suppose it's alright to put that link up since thats oublic anyway.

I have made small progress in altering a skin. It didn't quite do what I expected. But hey it's a start.

As to the Iron man skin that is here. Very impressive. thanks. I'll be checking the M16 one shortly.
