When will we stop being politically correct?

I have been giving thought to the good racial profiling will do.

When will America stop doing the wrong thing, which is being politically correct, and see the wisdom of sound racial profiling?

We are in a fight for our very existence, a fight with a people of no conscious, willing to MURDER children, innocent women and men just because they happen to be “western”.

Lets face it except for a few non- Islamic terrorist, the bulk of the terrorist fit a certain description, Arabic, Muslim middle eastern in origin.

All over America we are stopping blacks, whites, Latino Middle aged women and men to search them for explosives, exactly how many people have been found to be carrying bombs and homicide bomber vests that are NOT Arabic Muslim terrorist? None to my knowledge.

We should tell our representatives in the Senate and congress that we are tired of political correctness and the proper way to protect us is to start with profiling Muslims that are of middle eastern extraction.

No longer should we wave through an obvious Arab to search Mary O’Connor, an obvious white woman that is 80 years old so we do not offend the Arabs.

To let an Arab through then search a 280-pound Black lady is the height of folly and yet we do this daily.

If we as Americans do not smarten up and start coming down on the ones that are terrorist or fit the profile of a terrorist we are doomed to failure in the war on terrorism.

Before anyone starts hollering that this is a racist statement, stop and see the wisdom of my words here, try not to knee jerk and scream how unfair racial profiling is, compare racial profiling to the horrors these monsters are perpetrating first.

We should start by having federal agents infiltrate mosques and just listen to what is being said there.

Enact some laws making it a federal offense to preach violence in any form against anyone.

It’s time to wake-up America, close the borders make it a federal offense to come to America illegally.

hank I know there are muslims of all races and colors, BUT we have to start somewhere and the somewhere is starting with who the vast BULK of the terrorist are. get it yet?

I am a middle aged, redheaded female. If all these attackers had been middle aged, redheaded females, I wouldnt even BEGIN to have a problem with being delayed and searched on occasion, as a matter of fact, I'd be concerned if I WEREN'T.


Amen, sistah! If you've done nothing wrong, why should you be afraid? In fact, I'd welcome being searched, because that would remove any doubt that I was involved.

Well, once we establish that little old ladies are a threat, then it will make more sense. If people were truly concerned about little old ladies with bombs, I think I'd be on your side, kingbee.

You know as well as I do that they aren't searching elderly white women because they think they have bombs. They know that ACLU lawyers have people jotting down the race and age of everyone pulled to the side, poised to raise hell. They already have, haven't they?

a recently completed audit of 2004 traffic stops (required of the lapd as part of a federal consent degree) constained some innaresting information. 4 times as many black drivers as white or asian drivers were were stopped by police last year. 38% of those blacks stopped were found to be in possession of a weapon or narcotics. 55% of white drivers, 54% of asian drivers and 65% of latino drivers stopped by the lapd possessed weapons or guns.

next month is the 40th anniversary of the watts riots.

Woah, woah, woah.

You're trying to tell me that half, 1 out of two white, asian or latino people pulled over are found to have illegal drugs or weapons. That for every other traffic stop, a white person is hauled away in cuffs.

I'm thinking something is desperately wrong with those statistics. Got a link? Hell, I don't even believe the statistics for blacks.

The problem with Racial Profiling that you advocate so avidly is not that it offends ones sense of human worth, we will let thast pass. The fact is Profiling just does not help in prevednting Terrorism and it ends up making more people angry as hell. So the cure is worse than the disease and therefore RP has to be abandoned.

I'm sorry, but I refuse to accept that every other white person, or any race, for that matter, has drugs or illegal weapons in their cars. I refuse to believe that every other traffic stop results in a search of the car, for that matter.

hey, i'm not the one who can't imagine caucasian islamists carrying bombs.

in order to stave off a federal lawsuit against the city of los angeles, the lapd agreed to submit to federal monitoring of police practices for 5 years. here's a link that explains the basis of the consent degree Link

here's an article about the report 'the state of black los angeles' which incorporates data compiled as a result of that monitoring. Link


you gotta remember that the number of officers in proportion to population in la is very low compared to other major cities. i believe the data deals only with stops which lead to a search initiated because of what the cops believe to be suspicious behavior rather than all traffic stops.

the la county sheriff dept has a similar situation in that there is an appointed civilian equivalent of a 'special master' overseeing its compliance.

My beef is that they';ve never done racial profiling on white kids who go to high schools and searched them for guns. They pretty much all seem to go on killing sprees those white kids.

BTW Island Dog, how exactly does not offending a terrorist help terrorism? All it does is not piss them off as much as far as I can see. But you're right, it's a really good idea to piss off the terrorists. Next time I see someone with a gun I know I'll react by yelling at him what a d++head he is. That'll work!

if i were osama bin laden, i'd be actively soliciting white lil ol ladies from the balkan states...or hiring white 'mules' (telling them they were smuggling drugs or cash) using their greed as a means to get them to unknowingly carry primed explosives for me.

really? the community in which i live has a large percentage of immigrants from what was once jugoslavia and their descendants. until the mid-80s, the proponents and opponents of marshall tito continued to fight wwi and wwii. there were a minimum of 3 car bombings a year for all those years...sometimes a home or business went up as well.

there were times during wars in the balkans when opposing sides would demonstrate along several miles of main streets, all wearing national dress and hoisting old flags.

you got no clue.

I would rather be upset than blown to bits therefore racial profiling is good.
