Karl Rove is Source in Plame Case

Karl Rove is Source in Plame Case

according to MSNBC Analyst

If this is true, then Rove is looking at a bunch of heavy duty federal indictments that not even his chow boy, bush, will be able to bail him out of. Purjury will be the least of his problems. I believe Acts of Treason will be the bigger hammer. If this is true, then finally it will be put to rest that the White House itself was the leak. And, the contention that it was to discredit Plame's husband for stating that the Niger documents were false will finally, finally see the light of day in mainstream media. And, maybe, maybe it will be the beginning of the end of the dubya dynasty. This country is long overdue for a regime change.

MSNBC Analyst Says Cooper Documents Reveal Karl Rove as Source in Plame Case

NEW YORK Now that Time Inc. has turned over documents to federal court, presumably revealing who its reporter, Matt Cooper, identified as his source in the Valerie Plame/CIA case, speculation runs rampant on the name of that source, and what might happen to him or her. Tonight, on the syndicated McLaughlin Group political talk show, Lawrence O'Donnell, senior MSNBC political analyst, claimed to know that name--and it is, according to him, top White House mastermind Karl Rove.

Here is the transcript of O'Donnell's remarks:

"What we're going to go to now in the next stage, when Matt Cooper's e-mails, within Time Magazine, are handed over to the grand jury, the ultimate revelation, probably within the week of who his source is.

"And I know I'm going to get pulled into the grand jury for saying this but the source of...for Matt Cooper was Karl Rove, and that will be revealed in this document dump that Time magazine's going to do with the grand jury."

Other panelists then joined in discussing whether, if true, this would suggest a perjury rap for Rove, if he told the grand jury he did not leak to Cooper.

CIA agents that promote their husbands for jobs, and whose husbands are the pawns of political interests, skewing intelligence to help Democratic candidates, are also dangerous...

The White House was not happy that Wilson debunked the Bush story about nuclear weapons in Iraq. The simple fact is that this is a serious crime and the person who broke the law needs to be punished!

You COULD respond to the fact that Wilson's debunking was, itself, debunked, but that would be a bit much to ask of you, huh, Col? Far be it from me to expect you to oppose all this 'lying for truth' that your ilk prides itself upon...

Giving up the named of our CIA agents can cause Great Danger to this country.

Let me repeat this one more time. She was not an agent (Field officer), but an annalist (office staff). Release of a office staff member's name is confidential information (just like releasing a soldiers name that is in a unit). Releasing of a Field agent's name is a Top Secret (like releasing the S-2 officers name). Col, you should know the ramifications of releasing different information already, because of the briefing you receive with a Secret security clearance needed to become a Senior Officer in the reserves. The White House staffers would not even get fired for releasing confidential info, but only reprimanded.

Every time her and her husband has talked with the Press they themselves are guilty of the same releasing of confidential info. But her husband is the one who has released the info, that he was a field officer (something top secret), to back up his credibility to the press for his false claims on Uranium he made. Why don't I hear calls for treason on him?

Some times Col, you astonish me about what you have forgotten from your service time.

You have to wonder what the ethical situation is for someone who DID work for the CIA, and then converted their brief intelligence career into a job with the Kerry campaign. You have to wonder even further about him when even the Kerry campaign saw him as enough of a detriment that they closed his website before the election and distanced themselves from him because of his dubious statements.

That, though, is the sort of folks the Col likes to tie his dingy to. Kudos for finding even THAT much support for your sad claims.

Great Danger, my ass - as if anything Plame was doing was critical to the continued existence of the nation. You make it sound like our number one spy in Moscow or Paris was given up. I don't believe Plame was ever an operational agent. Treason, shmeason.

Cheers,
Daiwa

--And terrorists are swiss cheese (bad example but it works...) seriously, terrorists are just as bad, if not worse...why should terrorists get rights, and yet fellow americans who do such things as this, are, according to some liberals, not worthy of rights...hmmm? why COL?

Giving up the named of our CIA agents can cause Great Danger to this country. It is a serious issue and the truth needs to come out. The person who climed "Senior White House" staff are the source was Bob Novak.

Before you go running your mouth you should check this month's issue of "Vanity Fair" magazine. Guess who's picture is on the cover on a "full page" spread? If this is such a serious issue then "WHY" did she pose for this picture? And BTW, it's a current photo and she's doing NOTHING to hide her face. CIA agent.....Pfffft!

There's a lot more to it than we know. The woman wasn't a "covert" agent, so the law isn't going to really apply to whoever leaked it. Anyway, the only reporter going to jail didn't even write about it, did she?

I have a feeling that we are fumbling in the dark. It's probably a lot different situation than we imagine.

Col, I have seen interviews with Novak where he explicitly said it was not anyone from the White House.

And once again, it was not a CIA agent, it was an analyst. There is a difference. There are no signs that treason was committed. Helping our enemies can also cause danger to our country, are you willing to bring Durbin and Kennedy up on charges?

Col, you don't care about what happened. The only thing you care about is the slight possibility it's from the White House. Just as the other wackos believe.

Wilson did not debunk anything. I have showed stories that state the exact opposite.

IF people would take the time to read the Niger commission's report, which I did a year ago, they'd find that Mr. Wilson himself was debunked. There were a lot of things he was "fuzzy" about, that maybe he hadn't remembered correctly at the time, etc., etc.

People don't listen to vindication, though, only blame and smear. Not even the Kerry campaign would stomach hosting his site after the commissions findings came out.

This is a non-issue. She was glorified office staff, and the two of them started joking about book deals the moment her name got in the paper. No one really even knows whether Novak has already talked to the prosecutor or not.

I'd REALLY like to know why anyone would think these people would go to jail for Rove. Or, why in the hell Rove would PERSONALLY wave his agreement for anonymity, as the souce already has.

I asked in my blog then if we could expect the Left to apologize since they had found Wilson to have been "creative" with his Niger information. Did they? Nope, they're right back here, trying to complete Wilson's job to smear Rove.

Ah, those self-fulfilling prophecies.

Once again, to the left, it is the evidence (or lack there of) that counts, but the seriousness of the charges.
