Do I have to buy Toon-XP?

far as i know - yes

Is there no other way I can get it?

might contact the powers that be and see if they'll rent it to you

Nowhere to download it?

right here: Link

Are ALL you guys buying it?

can only speak for myself - nope (not yet anyway)

I bought it, mainly for the wallpaper and icons. I think Mormegil's free FauxS-TOON WindowBlinds skin is much better than the one that comes with Toon-XP. I love his matching CursorXP theme, too.

I haven't heard of anyone being forced to buy it.

Generally for all and specially to Danieljensen these berilliant people are devoting their time and efforts just for US ... they are devoting their all efforts just to make us happy and feel better when we interact with Computers. The money which you spend on Purchasing SD Products infact help and encourage these people to do more for us ..

What is the big deal about paying for a premium skin?
No problem here:

1 - Abracadabra
2 - Universe Metal 2004
3 - Pixxy
4 - PixOS
5 - Logica
6 - Quagmire
7 - Carbonix
8 - io
9 - Doppler
10 - Oxidized
11 - Spiderman

The cost is reasonable, the support for this community is appreciated, and the user experience is enhanced.

Seems a Win-Win situation to me.

Charging money for skins is kind of weird considering that skins for non-Stardock applications and for other OS platforms are usually free.

JesseJ, What's so "weird" about supporting skinners you like?

99.9% of the art here is free. The other is....If you like it, buy it!

I think even a mildly retarted person could understand that.

JesseJ, you can buy many things that are not Stardock related: wallpapers, icons, screensavers, sound packs, so why not skins? Of course, there are also plenty of the above available for free. It's just a choice, not an obligation. If you don't want to pay for any of these, there will always be plenty of free alternatives.

See, it's this kind of crap I have to put up with all the time! When will I be respected for my wise words?

Purrrr...

I think the whole premium skin deal is a way to suck more dollars from the customers as if paying for the programs themselves wasn't enough.

heh...and I thought you were just mildly retarded.

whatever

I take that to mean..... You choose not to go any further with your argument cause....

1. You don't have to buy any skins you don't want to.

or

2. You don't have to buy any skins you don't want to.

Whatever? How old are you?
