~I gave up asking...I've asked if my ratings count because I can only rate a skin from the skinners wincustomize site . It requires me to open 2 extra windows to get to the rating stars and then i can click on the stars and I get a " done " message

Jafo...you asked me to leave you a link on the other thread about this, which i've done....but you never repled further..But I guess the watch list doesnt always work.

Its not like I can't afford to subscribe to wincustomize , but I have Object desktop "Citizen level 4 " - somehow I don't think buying a seperate subscription will make a difference ..

Sorry, Fairry .....I checked for you...then got side-tracked and forgot to respond.....no, that link didn't indicate a rating posted...so I'm assuming there is still an anomaly to be sorted...and posting here should help...

How do we know what our access level is supposed to be? I thought I read that somewhere, but I can't find it now.

Actually you should not be able to rate.  This appears to be a bug.  Only User Levels of Subscriber or Access Class of Apprentice on up are supposed to be able to rate.

Actually this is about User Levels, not access classes.  Information about User Levels can be located in the subscription resources area at https://www.wincustomize.com/resources.aspx?cmd=3

~ Thanks for answering...at least now I know not to bother trying. Some days when the site is busy this takes a lot of extra time.
I guess it will sort itself out eventually.

That was why I had asked the question a few times before. I figured it wasnt supposed to be that way...plus I was unsure of the user levels...thanks for the info and link.

I'm not sure if this is wrong or not (and I don't care either way ), but I see ads on the top of the advocates page.

yeah, I noticed that too.
But the ad looked so good, I just didn't care.

now if it was one of those jumping ads...
LOL

Correct, you should not be able to see the ad if you are a subscriber.  We will get that corrected on Monday.

Is anyone getting a User Level of 0 (Unknown)?

Just out of curiosity how do you get an apprentice level accsess?
snarph...dunno...possibly by clicking on one's name and ...you know...like....looking....

snarph Hi...to my understanding an apprentice ship level access is gained by participation which is to say by rating, by helping people out, but submitting work and then eventually you are nominated for an upgrade in class. Hope this helps.

Ok,well i know maybe it's still early for this.I Subscribed yesterday and my User Level shows Subscriber (5).Only problem is i want to create a Wincustomize Personal Site and i can't,the form does not Submit,i hit the Submit button but does nothing.I don't know if it's a bug or something, but i surely would like to know what can i do to fix it.Is it a bandwidhth thing,i mean do i need a faster connection to setup the personal site?

Also when rating something, should i be able to rate it twice, cause i'm not sure if my ratings are being submitted or not.

Thanks for any responce.

T-Man ignore #18,it was just a Cookie thing, forgot to put Wincustomize.com in Exceptions List.

Someone said on another thread that there was a way for non-subscribers to earn a higher access level ?

is anyone able to give me more info on that ? i read the access class list, but it didn't mention anything like that.

cheers

As a few of us have posted, to rise in the ranks of access class, you have to participate and contribute to the community. By submitting skins, making tutorials, just being active and helpful on the forums, etc. https://www.wincustomize.com/AboutSite.aspx

To go up the ranks for user level is decided on customer/subscriber status. https://www.wincustomize.com/resources.aspx?cmd=3

Edit: now I'm confused...this topic was created about user levels right, so that's about our past customer, current customer, etc status right? Because from what it seems, it's really about the access class instead (citizen, apprentice, journeyman) because I've heard there was some bugs where people were getting promoted to journeyman when they shouldn't have. The term useage is really throwing everything off. >.<

The question was about User Level, not Access Class. Folks are getting confused

Access Class is... citizen, apprentice... etc User level is:

Level 1: Visitor.

Level 2: WinCustomize Registered User.

Level 3: Past Stardock Customer.

Level 4: Current Stardock customer.

Level 5: WinCustomize Subscriber.
