Here are 2 new candidates from the World War 1 era. Robert M. LaFollette was a Republican senator from Wisconsin who ran in 1924 under the Progressive Party (which consisted mostly of the remnants of TR's Bull Moose Party, the farm and labor vote, and Socialists). Eugene V. Debs was a 5 time Socialist party candidate (1900, 1904, 1908, 1912, 1920) who ran his last campaign from prison (he was jailed for opposing WW1) and won 3.4 percent of the vote, the most votes ever for a Socialist party candidate (he got less votes, but a higher percentage in 1912). I used the Iraq war as a substitute for WW1, which they both opposed.
