  • Resolved issue with restore settings in config not telling Start11 to reload the groups if the menu mode was the same

  • Also resolved an issue with the experimental load tile images option loading white images for apps like MS word etc.

Known issues

While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

  • Some new lines have yet to be noted in the en.lng file, and thus, will also not have been translated.  This will be updated before release.

If anyone is using the force touch mode override for the taskbar, we would be very interested in hearing if going back to automatic now works perfectly.

I would also like to see a Default/pinned group. Groups that display on "All" pages. Would be nice for those of us who create a page for each desktop to have a group of links common  to all.

Tweaked Start11 autohide mode to no longer reserve any space at the bottom of the screen.  This does mean the very bottom pixel of a maximized app isn't clickable, but this shouldn't be an issue as click targets should never be so small.
This broke bringing the taskbar up from autohide when Microsoft Edge is maximized. This doesn't seem to be an issue with any other window but Microsoft Edge. It could also be a problem with other Chrome-like browsers, but I didn't test.

I've gone back to version 2.05 for the meantime until this issue is fixed.

Subject:  Group Width for all styles, its only available on the windows 10 style

Hi there,

For the start menu, I only see in the Windows 10 Style a Group Width option, but on all others not.

For full screen start menu's I assume it's not always assumable you want a full width for each group.

I miss here really the option to set a width in the group so you can craft your "blocks" and sets of icons.

or am I overlooking something here?

Thx

I just checked here and cannot reproduce this.  MS edge and Chrome both work just fine when it is maximized.

You are not using F11 fullscreen mode are you?

No, standard maximize mode; not full screen.

  Hi -- I think I found a bug/annoyance in this beta version:

  • I am using Win 11 23H2
  • Start11 V.2.06 -- Windows Pro Style
  • When I click on the Start Button -- All Apps screen is shown (not as in previous version) See below:

  • Click on the the "Back" button, the normal menu comes back:

  Otherwise, so far no problem.

  Cheers

Steam quick access list is empty, do you need to do something to populate it?

No, do you have any steam installed games?

Also do the universal apps and all apps ones work?

Are those steam games being listed in the all apps list?

They have to have startmenu shortcuts created to show.

Also if you open the OS start menu are they in all apps there?

Using the 2.06 beta through Steam, and I’m using the OldRightClickMenus registry tweak, and it seems to be working flawlessly! My thanks for including it!

there are no "Recent documents" in all language files for example in Polish translation should be "Recent documents"="Ostatnie dokumenty", in english should be "Recent documents"="Recent documents" etc.
