Known issues
While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

Thanks! Working
Added the Registry String S11_AlwaysScrollMenus with value set to 1; and it works great.
Added the Registry String S11_MenuMode; tried all the values (0,1,2) with no change in the context menus.
(Tried both restarting Explorer and Restating the computer.)

I am not sure I understand what always scroll is supposed to change?
I can confirm adding string value "s11_MenuMode does not change context menu. I also do not see a pre existing key by that name as the changelog suggests
Noticed sometimes the system tray is too high from the taskbar, not sure what the cause is yet. It seems to be about 2x the distance away than it should be.
This is with the S11 taskbar / autohide features enabled.

I am not sure I understand what always scroll is supposed to change?
Example: If you right click on the Start11 menu and select New>Pin installed application, the resulting menu will scroll instead of a giant fly-out menu.
Thanks, Now I see the change and it does make the menu look a lot better too in my opinion
OK, so I installed the beta and the issue with icons moving to the secondary monitor isn't fixed yet. Crap. ![]()
Now I seem to have uncovered a new bug that affects the non-beta and this current beta. When I enable "Start 11 autohide mode" I can't get the taskbar to show back up on the main monitor unless I press the Windows key on my keyboard. I can drag my mouse cursor down all I want but it won't bring the taskbar back up.
I've since had to disable autohide and keep my taskbar in single-row mode.
As described in the 2.0 feedback thread, I'm still having issues with start11 menu not opening on start button click.
I also noticed i cannot change the start button icon. (I can change the location however (left or centered))
Something in the boot process seems to be causing a hiccup in Start11 loading, since restarting Explorer fixes the issue. It would have to be something that loads early in the process since Start11 loads very early.
You could check the Event log boot process.
The log can be called up by right-clicking on the Start menu button and selecting Event Viewer or open search and enter event viewer. Go to Application and service logs > Microsoft > Windows > Diagnostics-Performance > Operational. Take a look at the most recent boot and see if there is an app causing problems or an error.

As far as changing the Start button, the Enhanced taskbar must be on in the Start11 settings in order to change the Start button.
Little cosmetic bug: Tray-Button cut off on the left. The orgional Win 11 button has round corners on both edges.

Bug? Some selections around the active tiles are rounded, others are angular. No recognisable pattern.

The other 2 is boot time.

I'm not sure this would cause your issue, but something in Start11 is not getting the message from Windows to the Start11 Control settings.
This an unusual situation which I have only seen once before, hence very difficult to diagnose. The fact that restarting Windows Explorer fixes the issue, something is wanky during boot. After you restart Explorer, does the the issue ever reappear prior to the next restart?
Also does this happen after a restart or after a shutdown and start?

Im back to square one after every reboot.
Restarting explorer.exe on every reboot is not an option for me.
So for now, i have to get used to press the windows key until its fixed.
A reinstall of windows is also not an option at this point.

Would you be willing to post or PM me a screenshot of your startup apps from the Task Manager?

I already tried a clean boot, with everything disabled.
Same result.
I also tried switching the stardock start11 service to run off of the administrator account, didn't change a thing.
On this boot i checked eventviewer again, no warning or errors in Diagnostics-Performance -> Operational logs.
The only thing I see here that might be causing an issue is Corsair's iCue. Try disabling it and reboot; let me know the results.

Its 10pm here. Ill test tomorrow.
1. Am I understanding correctly that this problem is only on version 2 and not on version 1 of start 11?
2. If it is not a start up program my other guess would be some sort of of other taskbar / explorer modifier. Do you have anything like explorerpatcher / startallback / oldnewexplorer / or anything similar installed?
3. I know this may seem silly to ask but I want to make sure basis are all covered. Under the option [control] do you have {clicking start menu] set to {start 11 menu}?
4. For the sake of diagnosis do you have a 2 in 1 pc with tablet mode?
Thank you for fixing this! It works so fine now!
Also, I would like to report a problem I noticed previously and I thought is temporary.
The menu Windows 11 Style can be resized I mean shrunk too much and it exceeds the tiles area.
The problem looks like that:

But, it must looks like this:

What I mean is the shrunk should not exceed.
Plus, I want to mention again, the problem about lock the menu, but it still can be resized.
It'd be nice to add an option to lock the resizing menu, similar to: Allow the taskbar to be resized.
Many Thanks!
Touch/pen input causes the selected window to come to top and then minimize. this does not happen when using mouse input (still happening after update)
Newly Installed programs don't automatically show necessitating use of search or the Windows start menu to pin new programs (didn't realize there was an update. just updated)
Thinks it is activated by Steam, but using individual key direct from Stardock
notable settings changes
Windows 10 start
Sometimes merge taskbar
Left side start with centered aligned taskbar buttons
though this seems to happen even with default settings
Winver= Windows 11 23H2 (OS Build 22631.2506)
Start11 = 2.0 beta 1.02

Edit 2: I just came across another thread on this forum about a user being able to update to windows 11 with an unsupported CPU.
I'm running an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X which is supported.
So that should not be the problem.
