Well, it's August, already. Hottest month over with...hoping (against hope) August will be somehow better.

Decided to give tribute to three great Master skinners, and really good people...one of whom is here in memory only, Xiandi (Lady X), PoSmedley, and WebGizmos. They collaborated to create a beautiful skin, my desktop of the month: Xiandi the Windowblind and CursorFX, PoSmedley, the walls, and WebGizmos, the Winstep Xtreme.

Take a look at Fabre by ^^Gabriel. Good stuff...like Buuf-OS.

How very kind of you, Picco14. I wish you could post it for download. I suppose it's a permission problem? If so, RedneckDude could possibly help, as Jim has remained in contact with the late Xiandi's husband, and he can give you permission for your touching tribute. Since I am also a gallery moderator, there should be no problems.

Here is my XP theme I was working on when WB11 betas started dropping. It was defiantly possible as it worked back then. Just not now.

Light mode - Dark Text in explorer (Dont mind the dark bg as it was a test)

Dark mode - Light Text

My current desktop for August 2023, nothing special. Just basic windows 11 theme and modified taskbar to allow toolbars again. A little bit of rainmeter for the taskbar shadow and weather widget.

Picco14: Redneck Dude will pm you the permission from Xiandi's husband. All you have to do is put it in the zip file with the skin and upload it.

Another desktop... Fett MikeB and Giz. Wall from the web, recolored.

Fett is one of my favorite themes of all time. I was thinking of downloading it, but I don't know if it will work with WIN 10. Only one way to find out; download it and try it out.

En français, désolé mais c'est plus simple pour moi...

J'ai le message permission "RedneckDude" et l'accord de l'époux de feu "Xiandi", mais la diffusion du Screenshot "Armageddon Winstep" pour un hommage n'était pas dans l'idée d'obtenir une permission pour diffuser le thème.

C'était juste un hommage pour tout son travail de maître skinner qu'elle avait accomplie pendant de nombreuses années de son vivant et surtout ce n'était pas l'intention de remuer le couteau dans la plaie de son mari. J'en suis désolé...

A l'époque, de son vivant, je lui avais fait une demande pour diffuser le thème "Armageddon Winstep", j'avais obtenu son autorisation, le thème n'était pas aussi bien fini qu'aujourd'hui car je l'ai repris et terminer pour mon propre compte. A cette époque, "Murex" était intervenu et avait refusé de diffuser à raison la partie calendrier dans le thème. Donc sans calendrier, j'avais décider de ne pas diffuser le thème mais seulement le skin "Xion Player" sans playlist et équaliseur que j'ai rajouté aujourd'hui.

Je ne sais pas encore si je vais le diffuser, je suis en pleine réflexion et je ne voulais pas ce remu ménage auprès de son mari, c'était au départ juste un rappel sur son travail qui nous a régalé pendant des années...

Avec tout mon respect à tous et toutes et surtout son mari "David Schiller"...

Picco14, David Schiller seems most enthusiatic about wanting you t the publishing of the Armageddon tribute theme. You would not be rubbing salt in his wounds nor saddening him in any way.

Picco 14, David Schiller semble le plus enthousiaste à l'idée de vous demander de publier le thème de l'hommage à Armageddon. Vous ne seriez pas en train de remuer du sel dans ses blessures ni de l'attrister de quelque façon que ce soit.

What makes it even more 'mysterious'. IF they really hardcoded something like this, why is the font white in windows' native or 'hacked' themes darkmode but then black in WB darkmode? That makes no sense at all to me.
