Well, it's August, already. Hottest month over with...hoping (against hope) August will be somehow better.

Decided to give tribute to three great Master skinners, and really good people...one of whom is here in memory only, Xiandi (Lady X), PoSmedley, and WebGizmos. They collaborated to create a beautiful skin, my desktop of the month: Xiandi the Windowblind and CursorFX, PoSmedley, the walls, and WebGizmos, the Winstep Xtreme.

Slick new progress bar taskbar button and some changes to some file explorer elements to make the darker text a litter easier to read. Just cant change that black font in the main explorer window. (One of the WB11 betas it changed to white when you set the system to darkmode, but was lost  when WB11 released)

August Desktops

I like what the windowblind did to Photoshop! Pretty good for a 'blind from 2009, on a Windows 10 computer!

WindowBlind is Vampothika's "TempleOblivion," the background wallpaper (no title version), is her from "Emperon 5" Windowblind. So here I have something old and something new from the same creator!

I have Winstep Extreme but haven't had time to properly configure everything yet. What you see is Rainlendar and Rainmeter.

IRATUS Theme

This Theme was actually Very Dark in colour with some very Dark Parts, so we lightened it up making it Silver with my preferred Vivid Blue Text Colour.

I wonder why noone includes explorer in screenshots anymore.

Please take care using cleodesktop, the guy who runs it (A Vietnamese National) steels others work and then charges money for themes that do not belong to him, also he says he will offer support, but i bought a theme from him that did not work correctly, he could not fix it so then ignored any e mails i sent to him.

Ohhh, thank You, I didn't know that. 1st of all I was lucky to be able to use dark themed GUIs without black on black fonts in explorer and other inconsistencies. Where can I find decent themes then? deviantart is confusing as hell meanwhile.

Carl - Not a full answer to your question, but I did find this on Neowin:

It's a RC, and who knows if it'll conflict with SD software...as Neowin states,

However, keep in mind that by doing so, you allow third-party software to modify system files on a deeper level. Therefore, you should mind potential privacy and stability risks. Besides, the release is not final, so it might be better to try the project on a virtual machine (Microsoft provides free VMs with Windows 11) or a spare device with nothing critical or vital on it.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not at all in favor of "patching" nor altering system files because I don't trust them anymore than I trust MS with my info, and I don't want to endanger the OS warranty. I just saw the article and thought you might want to know about it.
