Time To Research Issue Under 1.55.376894.1

The first screen snapshot shows the item I am researching and how long it will take to complete.

The second screen snapshot shows the results from surveying which grants some unknown amount of research.

The third screen snapshot shows that I am still researching the same item, but it will now take 9 months.

The time to complete the research did not really go up, but the display says it did.  Seems like a bug.

Where do you get the version number from?

When I load the game it says 1.55 in the bottom left corner, but thats a lot shorter number than what you are using.

Epic shows the full number.

In the Epic Game Launcher, if you click on the elipses (...) to the right of the game, it will show you a number of things including the version number.

I believe I've experienced this myself as well. Thank you for the report as always Paul

Ah. I see. I was hoping it was something you could get using steam.

Oh well, thanks for the info.

Another option for finding the version is to look at the Details tab of the Properties window for the GalCiv4.exe file.

For example, I am now playing version 1.55.377081 according to the Epic Game Launcher (first screen snapshot below).  In the Details tab (second screen snapshot below) the File version is 1.5.5.0 and the Product version as shown in the file properties is 37.70.8.1.  If you put those together and remove most of the periods you get 1.55.377081.  I don't know why Stardock chooses to represent the File and Product versions the way they do, but the information is all there.

Have had this happen to me. Every time it did the next turn it was lower than before I choose the research boost and is that way as of just a few turns in my current game. So the artifact works as designed just the popups are glitched.
