Hi

I have a couple of issues using a Surface Pro 8 (my desktop at home does not have this problem despite all being the same versions etc).

1. The Taskbar does not extend to the top of the screen but a gap of about 1cm. But all the MS app maximised come up to the bottom of the Taskbar which is good

2. You can't really see it in the image below but there is a transparent grey box which above and around the Start button- doesn't effect the operation at all

Latest version of Win 11 and also Start 11.

Many thanks

Blane

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, that look like an insider preview version. Which Stardock do not support. However, we appreciate your report.

Thanks

Windows 11 22621.963
Start11 1.36 (Steam Version)

Icon Size - Medium

Monitor 1 - 1920x1080 looks good (system app icons broken) size https://disk.yandex.com/i/WE5DNs4W-nhWUA

Monitor 2 - 3840x2160 looks bad (different icon size) https://disk.yandex.com/d/6XKT597Ht-EqTQ

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know:

  1. Windows scaling factors for both monitor. 100%,125%,150% etc

Thanks

Hello,

After the update, there was a thin white line in the taskbar at the top.
I think it's cosmetic issue, but noticeable

Windows 11 Home
Compilation: 22621.963

Greetings from Poland

Peter.

This is normal for Windows 11 build 22621.  You should have a white line without Start11 too.

Is there a way to revert back to an earlier, stable version? I'd love to get back to using the software, and can wait a while for the new features.

Not unless you have kept an older installer. I think you will face issues with any version since you are on an Insider build of Windows.

Sure.

1920x1080 = 100% (default)

3840x2160 = 250% (default)

Sure.

1920x1080 = 100% (default)

3840x2160 = 250% (default)

Its in different scaling factors, so some difference is expected.

Thank you,

Effectively; with version 1.31 it didn't do that. It should need a specific option to disable this white bar. This is a Google translation. :-)

You would need to roll back your OS not Start11 as your issue is caused by your use of the insider release of Windows.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

Edit:  It looks like the quote didn't work.  I'm talking about where the icons get messed up/overlap when a notification appears in the system tray.

This is will be fixed? I can't set 100% on 4K display.

I believe, the icons scaling is control by Windows not Fences.

Uninstall start11, reboot, reinstall 1.36, does this help?

Also what build of Windows 11?

I'll try the reinstall.

The issue is not ignored. There will be new version release soon and the "overlapping system tray icons" was listed on it as possible fix. Just wait a little bit longer. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Thank you.
