A reoccurrence of artifacts

I'm playing Beta 0.80.279796. I'm on windows 10, 16GB memory, Radeon Graphics RX570 8GB

I play as Terrans and I had cleaned out my home sector of artifacts. I had saved my game and exited and the next day when i loaded the save game, there was a plethora of artifacts in my home sector when yesterday there was none.  I assume this was not supposed to happen.  Below is a partial screen grab of my home sector with the repopulated artifacts.

Can you upload the save game here?

How do I do this? I can't seem to find the save games relating to GalCiv4 Beta on my PC. Where are they kept and do I just drag and drop it into the reply?

"Charlie Test Point" will show my home (Terran) sector almost devoid of artifacts.  I had actually cleaned out my home sector but don't have an exact copy in time of that.

"Previous Auto-Save" is a bit later but still shows how the artifacts repopulated my sector.

Apologies in advance if I did not do this correctly.

I've actually wondered about this - at least once, sometimes twice in a game they will appear again.

I always thought it was deliberate and something triggered it, like a tech being researched by someone. In my current game, it recently happened in a neighboring sector (and its owner got made when I rushed all my ships in to scan them)

I can't remember the name of the tech, but there's a tech that allows you to discover additional anomalies. Researching that tech spawns new anomalies in your sector, and it works that way for the AI civs as well. If you have several AIs in your starting sector you can get waves of new anomalies as each one researches (or trades for) the tech.

GalCiv 3 had events that would add resources or artifacts to the map, but an advisor would pop up to tell you that. I think the game adding new artifacts after loading a save (and without an advisor message) would count as a bug. It could change the balance of power, one that the player can abuse by saving and reloading as needed to spawn artifacts in their territory.
