From what I see, Start11 will not work on Win 10 the same way Start10 works.

No one can ask for the same behavior of Start 11 on both Win10 and 11, because the user interface of these operating systems is too different.

I think it is better to promote Start11 only for Win 11 and continue to maintain Start10 only for Win 10.

Hello,

Big issue for power users.

Activating Start 11 gets rid of my entire, well-crafted and sorted start menu. Also, centering the menu in the middle of the screen doesn't work. Installed via Object Desktop

BEFORE:

Reduced 57%
Original 1468 x 801

After:

Reduced 54%
Original 1531 x 971

Any fix?

thanks

At the moment because we do not support folders in the Win10 style menu we do not import the Microsoft layout.

Once we have folders we will import it.  By the looks of it you do not use folders.

On Windows 11 we do import the Windows 11 menu as no folders on that Windows menu.

Folders are planned to arrive officially in the 1.1 update but you should see them show up probably in the next beta we do (unless we do a 1.01 which would be small fixes)

For centre mode, are you using Curtains?  If not is the issue consistent after a reboot?

is anyone having issues with explorer starting on boot? Or crashing and just... going away?

Which OS are you using?

Start11 doesn't damage you Windows 10 Start lay-out. Check the Start11 settings for when you want to see the Windows Start or uninstall Start11 if it is not for you.

Hi

Auto hide with Windows 11 style.

The previews are placed a bit to high. That cuts titles od displayed windows:

There is no such problem if the taskbar is fix

I have the following Windows 11 configuration:

Screen resolution: 5120 x 1440

I have one of the known issues (my Start Menu is currently off to the left even though I told it to be centered).  But I'm posting because I have a question on Icons, some of them look odd, or are really small in the Windows 11 Menu on Windows 10.

No news on a Steam release?

We have started the approval process at Valve but that could take several weeks.

Please add italian language. Thanks.

That would have to be done by user submission - which we have a path for here:

I don't use folders. And folder was not mentionned in my post. I'm talking about the arrangement of the icons. The selection of the software i chose to diplay on the star menu. I've been able to center the taskbar, i've removed curtains. that fixed the problem for center.

So there is no point in Start 11 if i have to redo my entire selection of icon. Must be a way to just import my shortcuts?

The only bug I've encountered is how it handles font spacing in the menu in Windows 7 style.  Please see attached to see how it's cutting off long names and also the last entry in the list.

Wifi/Volume/Battery Popup Is Cropped When Taskbar is Moved to the Top in Windows 11

When I align my taskbar to the top and click the wifi/volume/battery area in the notification section a popup is displayed. The top of the popup is cropped and does not display.

Win 11 version 21H2 (22000.282)

AMD Radeon 6700XT

Laggy animation when opening and closing Start11. This has been present since earlier beta builds and is still present in the latest version. My monitor has a 144hz refresh rate, if that makes any difference.

Do you have one monitor or more than one?

Also would you say it is a case of stuttering or is there simply lag / running at a lower rate?

I mentioned folders because if we were to import and the user has used the folders feature of the Win10 menu then we would have a problem.  Hence not importing currently to avoid problems.

Once we have folder support in we will be offering an option to import your Win10 menu layout and shortcuts into Start11.  I imagine this will not be too long.

One word of warning, if you have plans to upgrade to Win11, do not upgrade to Win11 until after Start11 has been able to import your layout as the upgrade will wipe out the information required.

Hello,

On a Windows 11 pro 21H2 build 22000.282 with 3 monitors.

Start 11 work fine on the first monitor but the height of the taskbar on the monitor 2 and 3 is stuck at the biggest size :

And has you can see, I have the same problem as khoitran00 for the Wifi/Volume/Battery Popup.

I've had that as well since the previous versions.

There is a rendering bug, when HDR is enabled: the fonts within buttons are rendered incorrectly. If HDR is disabled, the buttons look correct again.

Taskbar not aligning to the centre of the screen. I installed yesterday and all was working fine. The taskbar buttons were nicely centred. Today they are firmly fixed to the left of the screen. I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling top no avail. Very annoying. I like a having the taskbar centred on my 32:9 widescreen monitor. BTW I'm using Start11 on Windows 10.
