Screenshot of the Week, Sectors - GalCiv IV

When you're looking to rule the galaxy you need to be able to see everything - where your strongholds are, where your enemies are lurking, and where you have left to expand to. The new sector view lets you zoom out to view all of the sectors on the map so you can make better decisions on your strategy.

Oh my. I've only played small maps thus far. So far, its taken me over 500 turns to beat them. I can only imagine what 100+ sectors will do.

Hi. How do the subspace streams exactly work between sectors?

I red it's a tech to unlock before to be able to use them and later in game it's possible to directly teleport your fleets to any sector, appearing on edge of these sectors.

But in case of subspace stream is there in/out static points in every sectors? If it is, I think it's the best improvment brought by GalCiv4 because beside to allow much bigger galaxy it would provide strategic crossroads possible to hold and defend creating in this way strategic roads and detours through galaxy.

I'm really excited to try it.

Thanks for sharing weekly screenshots.

Best regards

It begs the question how does it scale with it.The tech trees with be maxed out with half the game done, etc.

I like the idea of jump lanes and sector ownership, but I'm used to Stellaris thinking that each dot is one solar system and not a cluster of solar systems.  I'm guessing culture dominance rules over each sector.  But I'd like to see how there's less micromanaging in turn, less OP fleet building to steamroll through each sector.
