WindowBlinds version is currently 10.82

With WB 10.74 at least Thunderbird 6.9 still worked.

With WB 10.82 neither Vivaldi 2.8 nor Thunderbird work.

But it's mainly about Vivaldi

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. As far as I know almost all browser is not compatible with Windowblinds except Firefox.

Go to Per Application, choose Vivaldi.exe, ticked only

  • Enable this if you have problems with glass areas
  • Enable this to prevent the application using glass
  • Enable this if glass is painting with nothing on it

Vivaldi will be fine with Windowblinds running on it.

And how do you get Windowblinds to skin Firefox correctly?

Maybe,I am WIN7 BTW. The main issue is Titlebar of Vivaldi would not render rightly with Windowblinds running on,Vivaldi has one option that can having default Windows frame, still not working with this on.

Settings, Appearance, and check "Use Native Window." Then restart.

Did it on both my Win10 and Win7 system still don't have the Windowblinds frame for it.

Here what I get on my Win7 system. After system restart.

Basj,

I think I haven't make my comments clearly on Reply #6,it wasn't about Vivaldi's titlebar being skinned by Windowblinds,is about running fine with it. On Reply #10;I did mention the issue of which I thought the OP was complained if I am not mistaken . Sorry for misunderstanding.

Ah, okay.. Thanks for clarify it.

Last time I tried (long time ago now), that didn't work, but seems to work fine now. Thank you!

Vivaldi is not skinned by WindowBlinds AFAICT, but it has its' own themes which are quite nice.

Hi Bob.

Are you asking why Windowblinds does not skin anything, you will need to install Start 10 or 11 as they work together.

I think the question is about skinning Vivaldi using Windowblinds and Start 10 & 11 makes no difference.

Vivaldi, like some other apps can't be skinned hence it uses it's own skinning engine.

I don't like when programms use their own skinning engine, the make me very angry! >:(  Because I preffer a consistent system, every app with the same skin, borders, colors and fonts. I also use resource hacker to change icons, fonts and colors, sometimes even hex editor to achieve that. And I hate borderless windows. Therefore for example, I am still using office 2010. When there is an app which I cant skin with the mentioned methods, I simply dont' use it on my customized and skinned system    Well...but there are exceptions. I need a browser....

And I made a screenshot from the skinned chrome, a screenhsot with with the borders and placed it in the common.css as background. Now my Vivaldi looks like it is skinned :omg:

Please explain to me how Start 10/11 has anything to do with skinning any program as I must have missed something since all it does is skin the taskbar/start menu.
