How did you find out about WindowBlinds?

I saw it featured on Download.com several years ago, got the trial version, hated the nag screens, got a cracked version from some warez site, and found I liked it so much that after a few months I decided to actually buy it

I did a google search for "customizing windows" about 3 years ago and found it that way.

I"m with knatzz-thats how I find it-windows 9x was so lame

I can't remember what I did yesterday...little alone 3 or 4 years ago....

PC Plus Magazine, I saw Treetogs Sputnik, and bought ODNT, the rest is history.

I already was a OD user since the OS2 version, so i already know Stardock for a long time. When Stardock dedided to switch to Windows i did that too.

I came across it after using EFX for a little while as I was getting into customization with Litestep.

Like you Aqua..I recieved it with the Serials about OH 3 months ago from a friend..I was not aware of what I was given..After a couple of months playing with it I finally got the hang of the whole Idea..Well needless to say I dont aprove of software piracy, So purchased the whole package..Needless to say after a coupla failed attempts to try and load it, I fianally got all the instal bugs out of it and Will never go back to the "WINDOWS" look ever again..Sorry Bill Gates but your Graaphic Desighn People Stink!!!!and if I could find another OS to replace theirs I will..The only problem Is all the software I have purchased since will only work on Windows...So Im stuck with the Windows JUNK.. since Photoshop and Bryce are so Darn Expensive..And dont get me started on the Price of Maya and Cinema 4D > They Should make better full versions that are affordable for :artist"

I discovered WB the same way Aqua did.

Doing a search for Linux Themes...

Somebody on another forum was talkin about Style XP and posted screenshots. I immediately wanted to use it and then sombody else mentioned Windowblinds and linked to this site. I found out that Style XP was a hack and WB was not.

I searched through this site and the rest is history.

I got hooked on WB the way I got hooked on several programs, from visiting skin sites (mainly skinz.org at first) and trying out programs I found listed there. Originally I went there because of winamp, but quickly I discovered I had to use WB. At first I only used the shareware, but eventually I paid for it since it really wasn't that expensive, plus I could get rid of the nagging. Which most programs I don't care, but WB I did. Also I didn't really buy WB til I got XP, because on Win98 it was just too unstable, so at times I had to unload WB.
I'm so glad WB was here to save me from the overdone GUI of XP's default "skins".

I discovered it while looking for alternate Win95 shells. Been using it ever since.

searching for wallpapers a couple of years ago i stumbled across this site............loved the walls so tried WB trial version. I found the software a bit buggy then but maybe this was just me. I also found it slowed my system down so i got rid of it but i was determined that i would try it again as the package looked really great when i got it to work..........so two years later i decided 'lets give it another go' and what can i say.........wonderful.........it had improved dramatically and had become a lean mean fighting machine !!!!!

Yeah, In response to Style XP...I tried it at the same time as WB and Found Style XP to be a HUGE Resource Hog...It wiuld take like 3 to 4 min for it to open even on right click display propertys it slowed my system WAY down..And Uh Ive got a pretty good system..Like a 1.7 g P4 and 768 Megs DDR266Mhz with an FSB of 400Mhz..and it (stylexp) would Choke my system unless I deleted down to only a few Style choices...I could only have about 15 style choices at a time...So Yeah WB for such a neat strteamlined product....

Never used a computer before the summer of 98, when my soon to be wife, (who loves rebuilding old computers) gave me one. I enjoyed surfing the net, but didn't know much else. I would spent a stupid amount of time in Display properties trying to "make it look better", coz I thought Winders was really ugly. During one of my surfing rounds, I discovered Neo Planet........ hey this is cool stuff, I thought, why can't windows look like this? One of the Neo Planet skins contained some additional links...... one of those links was "skinz.org" ......... I went there, I was in heaven! That's where I found WindowBlinds, and eventually became addicted to skinning.    More than you wanted to know, I'm sure.

I found it back in '99 while I was heavily entrenched in Litestep. Some of the themes came with WB skins, so I downloaded the trial version of WB and liked it so much that I bought the whole OD package.

I first got wind of WindowBlinds back in 98 or 99. I used to go to Customize.org to get new wallpapers and winamp skins. I never actually used WB until I got my WinXP system about a year ago. I tried the Trial Version, but with all the limitations, I didn't like it. Luna became more and more dull, so I bought ODNT in January, this year.

I found LiteStep by accident. WB and LS go hand in hand and really allows one to completely change the desktop and the windows. Soon after that I found my way to newsgroups. I remember reporting my first bug. A bug in the title bar and decided to post it. I was not sure if I was allowed to, because I downloaded the free version. To my surprise that was not a problem. I probably didn't explain the bug very well, so I wrote a little program to explain it. I wondered if the programmer would ever read my post. They guy answering my post turned out to be lead programmer of WB. Wow! I was surprised. Without any fuzz the bug was fixed and I decided that such a service was worth a subscription to ODNT.

but, I do remember downloading a program back in 1995, It rolled up the window to the titlebar on my win 3.0 ..I've always wondered if it was the same program.

Oh about 4 years ago I put a search in for Desktop Customization. My search led me to eFX from the folks at thirty4Interactive. From there I went to Skinz.org, And I was amazed at what was going on. Checking out all the different programs WindowBlinds was the first one I stuck with...Oh and I was in the Neoplanet Phase too

stumbled onto windowblinds back in 2001 when trying to come across a "kiss" desktop theme and been using windowblinds ever since.

I haven't found out.....yet.....
