WindowBlinds 10.56 Beta Now Available

The WindowBlinds 10.56 beta is now available for download. 

  • Performance Improvements (like when you resize a window).
  • Windows 10 Insider Build fixes
  • Better high DPI handling in skins with shadows as part of frames
  • Improved blur on high DPI on Insider builds
  • Fix for Skype menu bar
     
  • Possible issue: Black frames around MMC (Event Viewer) - Please test!
  • Possible issue: Improvements in rendering may affect Win7 and 8 controls - Please test!

Current WindowBlinds 10 users and Object Desktop members can download the betas from your Stardock account.

Please uninstall the previous version, reboot and then install the new version.

It's the Groove Music App on Build 15042.

That App was doing it the worst but it appears to be 'healing' itself; did some more tweaking, disabling animations and such helps.

I'm just glad this Beta works on this Build! :)

I keep tweaking and report back.

I did a quick check here and it seems the speed is the same with or without WB (that app is painfully slow to resize).

The difference is in the latest insiders a modern app will paint transparency in the area that's not been updated yet vs black as WB is.  WB is also leaving screen dirt of old frame positions.  So same speed, but perceived laggy due to a visual difference (which is how things worked pre the new insiders).  We will make some tweaks to make it more like the default theme.  Still slow, but visually the same.

10.57 is in testing now.
