Good list of fixes, thanks!

Well, sorry to say that this beta completely screws up Windows 7 64-bit, so I am not even going to try it on 8.1 or 10. After uninstalling and installing the new beta on 7, not a single one of my skins will apply, they all come up with the Windows Classic look, but different colors. Aero and Cideral work, but that is it. Going back to the previous release.  :S

Are betas even being quality control tested on Windows 7 any more?

Did you do an upgrade install or a clean install?

Unfortunately some files do not get replaced sometimes with upgrade installs and with this version if there is a mismatch you will get classic due to a change in how the components communicate with each other.

If you uninstall, reboot and then install you should be fine.

I already did all that Neil, it did not help. Applied Aero, unloaded WB, uninstalled, rebooted, ran two registry cleaners, installed 10.56, rebooted, no help. Back on 10.51 beta now and all is fine.

I installed this today under Windows 10 Pro x64 14393.693. And so far I have detected no problems. For me this is a good update!

It would appear our QA team did not correctly test the latest update on Windows 7.  They are supposed to but it seems this did not happen.

We will put out an update with the same version number later today and post here when it is out with a fix for this.

The beta has been refreshed and should work fine on Win7 32/64.  On the bright side, UIS0 skins worked fine before.

Thanks for reporting this LightStar

The new beta works fine on Windows 7 now, but when I updated my Skype to the latest version, it caused system lockups and I was forced to end it in task manager. The menu area was also messed up a bit, areas with menu text were white, but to the left and right of them it was an off gray. I installed the previous version of Skype and all is fine.

Same bugs as usual still ever since 10.07.
Adobe flash plugin 24.0.0.221 crash/unresponsive in Pale Moon x64 web browser (www.palemoon.org)
when maximizing windows. (Playing Farmville 2 at zynga.com and Facebook is not possible with this WB version)
when maximizing the window in the game it freeze and crash. Disable WB and it works fine again.
Tried different themes so it's not that.

Works wih Firefox 32bit and Chrome x64, but not with Pale Moon x64.

Opening windows in explorer in windows 10 still are a bit sluggish. Modern apps when opening for example
MS weather app it starts very fast zooming in and then out. Extremly irretating.
Still bug/incompatible with ShellFolderFix. Disable WB and opening windows/explorer and all works fine. (No delay)
Tried different settings in shellfolderfix. No changes.

I've tried disable WB and then flash and everything works just fine again.
so it's not skin related. Have tried disabled ribbon in explorer in WB.
Makes explorer a bit better, but still not good enough.
These all new versions after 10.07 are all crap on both my win 10 machines.
Sorry stardock.

What have been done with WB since 10.07 that causes this?
v10.07 is the latest versions that works just perfect.
Have also tried cleaned installed windows 10. Same thing.

I give up on newer WB versions now. I've repported them many times now.
Too tired of these bugs now that seems never be fixed.
The new features i don't have any use for anyhow in WB.
I will stay with v1.07 as long as it will work with win 10.
Just hope 10.07 will work for a long time with win 10.

Yes, i uninstalled v10.07 first, rebooted, and installed 10.5.6.
Installation went fine.

No errors whatsoever with my windows/drivers/machine/hardware/software.
All and everything checked thoroughly with no errors anywhere. Top-notch.
All latest windows updates, drivers etc and so on installed as usual.

/Windows 10 Pro 14393.693 Version 1607
WB all versions after 10.07 to 10.5.6
ShellFolderFix x64 v1.1.4.0

Unfortunately you are the only person reporting these issues.  Admittedly you are probably the only person using PaleMoon but we have boxes with ShellFolderFix running and it is working as expected and explorer windows etc open quickly.

I just checked PaleMoon 64 bit here with Farmville2 and nothing crashes when I maximize the window.  It is apparent that PaleMoon is incorrectly marking the entire window as transparent which makes things slower but it worked just fine.

Ultimately we cannot reproduce any of your problems and that makes me wonder if there is something else running on your boxes causing some sort of weird interactions.

OK, had to go back to 10.51 on Windows 7 again as some images are having issues. For instance, the search icon in explorer and on the start menu. If you put text in for a search, the "X" that comes up to close the search is from Aero and not the WB skin that is applied. This also happens with the navigation icons, some of them are from Aero also. So I uninstalled the 10.56 beta again, rebooted, ran registry cleaners and then reinstalled 10.56. After installation I rebooted, and WB locked up, nothing you clicked on worked. Had to close it in task manager.

So I uninstalled again, rebooted, ran registry cleaners and installed the WB 10.51 beta and all is fine again.

Thanks for reporting those two issues with the graphics.  I was able to reproduce them and the next update should address them.  The app hang is probably just one of those random things as the config UI didn't get any updates in the beta.

I would have recommended you stick with the build unless those both annoy you greatly as it ensures any other issues are caught early vs us releasing a final version which ends up breaking something your skins are using.

Well, I would continue using the beta Neil, but like I said, it locked up and I could not even use it, could not even close it, so if I open SKS to work on a skin, that would be a work stoppage for me, could not apply a skin as I worked on it.

That was probably a one off glitch.

Possible issue: Black frames around MMC (Event Viewer) - Please test!

Looked at it with a half dozen skins, seems fine.

Without testing in beta problems are more likely in release.  :(

Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview (64-bit), Build 15042; Windows Blinds Beta 10.56

Tested numerous Skins with almost no flaws; system links on a couple skins were color inverted.

Frames are a bit laggy but, I'm on a fresh upgrade on a 'spinner'.

I can't see your attached image, but what do you mean by laggy?

One thing to note is that the later windows insider builds alter how window resizing works which means that unlike before where the frames could be quick and the contents might lag a bit, the two are better synced now.  This may in some circumstances make things feel slower.

Which app is that and does it refresh ok?

What happens without a WB skin? Does the content of the window update slowly (ignore the left over painting of frames which might differ slightly)
