NetBadger - Sorry for the confusion. We are actively developing WindowBlinds 10 and we do not have an ETA at this time. Unfortunately it's hard to always have specifics for release dates. We hope you stay active here so you can obtain WB10 when it goes live. Thank you for the support! :)

When I'm ready for Win 10 it will be on a new machine, most likely a second laptop. So for me there's plenty of time to wait for WB 10. I have faith in SD simply because they haven't done wrong by me in 9 years. Take your time devs......I'll be here.

NetBadger: - There is no one more impatient than me for WB for Win 10 esp. when I keep seeing those awful white borders around everything but I'm just going to have to be patient, I'm not good at waiting for things though  }:)

I have just done a fresh install of windows 10 and Windowblinds 8 (latest version) is working with no problems at all. Some OD products like Icon and sound packager I had to install in Comparability mode. WinFX6 needs to be stopped and started now and again, or you loose the window when dragging.

Trust me WB8 is not working without problems on Win10!  The taskbar has serious problems.

Regarding WindowFX, are you using the beta or the release version as we resolved a problem with things stopping working in the release version.

Also IconPackager must not be installed on Windows 10.  Doing so will cause major problems if you ever uninstall it!

There are reasons we have blocked some things from installing on Win10 as once installed you cannot always fix a problem that has been caused (as in the case of IP)

People will always do as they please regardless of any warnings to the contrary. If they make their bed they got to sleep in it. Nuff said!

When I upgraded to Windows 10, I had Icon Packager installed, and still do.  What happens if you try to uninstall it?  As a matter of fact, after installing Windows 10, I applied a different icon package, and at least on my desktop icons all got changed, and I haven't had any problems yet.  Should I try to install the default icons again, or what?

The only issue I have with WB on Win 10 is the windows icon and the clock disappear. Too late loaded everything on to my system. No big deal to rebuild again as only have a few programs installed. As far as I can see I have the latest WindFX, it does not indicate it is a beta, but will check and thanks for the advice.

I originally did the upgrade, so all OD products wee on there and working fine. I have since done a complete rebuild of Windows 10 and my bed is quite comfortable and happy to lay in it. Should the worse happen, I can restore from an earlier image or rebuild. I never keep any data on my C drive. I was unaware of the above problems before I installed everything onto Win10.

Thanks, I get it.  Don't uninstall it.

For my sake and anyone else following this thread, what sort of problems arise if you do uninstall it?

I got off track, and I know this is the windowblinds thread, so if this post should be moved to another section, please do so.

If you'd like, you can contact support for help removing it.

Let them know about the thread and that you'd like to remove IP on Win10.

Thank you for the update, Gear.

As for installing Windows Blinds 8 with Windows 10, I say be careful. When Microsoft recently launched the beta version of the new build to Windows 10 before it's official release, it caused a number of problems to a user I chatted with on YouTube. I think it was wrong for Microsoft to release it without testing it thoroughly. If Windows Blinds 8 was not meant to run on Windows 10, then do be aware that it might cause some serious damage. I give credit to Stardock for putting in the time to make sure everything works right. Through my eyes, it seems that most of the latest software developers overlook such issues because of the battle with time.

Is there any ETA on when windows blinds will be ready for windows 10? I ask because I can't stand the windows 10 interface, its washed out, bland and very hard to find things like the title bar, or boxes where you need to type stuff in. I can't believe what a poor effort windows 10 interface is so can I plus 1 windows blinds for windows 10 as I will definitely buy it when ready.

Same here. Windows 10 has updated very well, but the look is just plain awful.

Will there be an Aero Glass skin for the new WB? That's the thing I miss the most from my beloved Windows 7.

I've been a user of Windowblinds since version 1 and have no doubt that the folks at Stardock will have a working version for 10 soon.  They have always been able to keep up.  Don't worry.

Interestingly the recent update to Start10 included in the change-log 'Changes to support WB10 when released' - Which I thought was encouraging.  :D

How much is the release of TH2 going to set back development? Been waiting a long time now for WindowBlinds for windows 10 is it actually going to happen? there isnt really anything in the way of real updates on the development.

Think of what the November release of Win 10 will be like. Changes may be small but they might impact WB, something the devs may be revving up for.
