I have the same as well.

If I click where the buttons should be I can get something built, but as I can't see what I am clicking, my mining starbase turned into a cultural one.

I am running a MSI Gaming Laptop using the Nvidia Geforce video card.  I am going to check for latest drivers though mine aren't that old.

I will update this post with more system information as I look things up.

GPU: GeForce GTX 780M

CPU: Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.4

Memory: 32 GB RAM

Driver Version: 347.52 (Downloading latest update now.) Now 350.12, no difference.

OS: Windows 8.1

Weird. It's working here.  I'll check around to see what the deal is.

I will add that I did try the previous update and it worked fine there, so it is definitely something new in this one.

Can you guys send us a debug.err from your documents\my games\galciv3

I'm running the Steam version here and it's working. There must be some sort of option difference that's causing it.

What resolutoin are you playing the game at?

I have a suggestion that may help.

Please try deleting (or moving to a backup folder)  the Atlas.dxatlas file in your  /Galactic Civilizations III/Screens/Atlas folder.

Then restart the game.

If this still does not help, please send us your debug.err file.

Thanks.

Started a new game and rushed 2 constructors, hit unlock

Worked for me.  Also have Nvidia geforce, Win 8.1

.61 update, complete with colony capitals on resource squares

   Fullscreen 1680x1050

I do unclick "enable mods" because that can cause problems.

I already have a link to my debug.err above.

I am running full screen 1920X1080.

I tried this: "

Please try deleting (or moving to a backup folder)  the Atlas.dxatlas file in your  /Galactic Civilizations III/Screens/Atlas folder.

Then restart the game."

It didn't work.

My bug is slightly different.  Since beta 6.1 (.95), I can no longer see the icon for Xenoarcheology modules:

Can you please verify that you have the following file in your directory?

/Galactic Civiliations III/Gfx/Shaders/Starbase4.fxo

Also, please try the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" option in Steam.  Right-click Galactic Civilizations III in your library, and go to properties.  Go to the "Local Files" tab and click on the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" button.

I have the Starbase4.fxo file.  I am verifying integrity as we speak.

Guessing from the general gist of how this is going, assuming the integrity is fine would you want me to delete local content and redownload?

2 file failed to validate.  I don't know if there is any way to know which ones...

I tried the game again but the issue isn't resolved.  I don't see any way to verify those 2 files were replaced like the steam said.

Can you please post your prefs.ini file?  (This file is located in /Documents/My Games/GalCiv3)

This file will allow me to test with your exact settings, which may help reproduce the problem here.

Thank you.

I figured I would try a new game to see if it made a difference... I found a new bug.

It seems that if you have a shipyard right next to asteroids so that the ships are ejected into them, you cannot control the ship.

Here are my prefs.ini

I re-validated local content and had 1 failure this time.

Tried again, all files are fine.

It is looking like there's some issue with the steam installer. Not a steam bug but something in the way we configured the update.

We'll keep looking tomorrow. The debug.err files are very helpful.

1- the file is there.

2- Link to Prefs.ini:

3- Same as Icek, 2 files failed to validate.

4- The problem is still there.

Hope it helps.

It appears Jesse (coder) has found the issue. We should be able to put up a new file tomorrow that will fix it.
