Simulation based rts/meta units question

Is the game simulation similar to how sup com is (basically can shots be blocked, dodged, groundfire, etc.)

Will meta units use their advantages of individual units as in if I had a long range unit will it stay near the back of the group or if I have a tanky unit will it stay near the front, etc.

The answer to both those is yes going by all the information on the website and the two videos taken at the GDC.

Yes.  Each shot is an actual object. So shots do miss.   The Meta units are designed to work together. They're way more than just a formation.

are projectiles going to collide with each other as they did in supcom? (super SUPER rare occurence, but when it does happen : IMMERSIOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!)

also friendly fire? on own units and structures? (FA had friendly fire but didn't for structures and none for one's own units, which was a shame)

I'm afraid not.  There are just way too many projectiles to do that without hurting overall perf elsewhere.
