Really enjoying the early look at it.  The art direction is cleaner/easier to see things.  And cloth map!  Yay!  Can't wait for early access.

Cool! Looking forward to some gameplay video, or the EA itself!

Some of those screenshots said

Tsss, that was known already, if you were watchful enough ;)

Great screens!

Now I start to get excited :)

Looking phenomenal!

Looking forward to taking this bad boy for a test drive.

Would've been nice to get the images in a zip (or to open in a window instead of downloading). But I guess it's moot since Early Access is right around the corner...

Thanks for all the new screenshots.  Love the UI - a very clean and uncluttered look.  Can't wait.

BTW going through the screenshots, its great that units wont be only individual figures, but still also larger squads!

Hope we will see the epic battles from original E:WOM, like this one: http://www.spacesector.com/blog/2010/08/elemental-war-of-magic-released/ :)

Three new screenshots loaded today (9/13).

Make sure you look at the mini map in some of the newer shots. ;)

Err, none of them have a mini-map...

I'm guessing you're talking about LargeMap from 08/11 ;)

Correct, none of the 9/13 ones have a mini-map, but couple of the 9/11 posted ones do.  I'm guessing boats will play a bigger role in this game, unless I'm completely missing something.

So are you about to announce EA or are you about to start EA. Or both?

Can I pay you $20 more for access now?

He said a week ago that EA was less than a month away. So probably EA early or mid October :)

Holy crap. Much sooner than I expected.

WTF am I supposed to do with all of these promising 4X games?

Not quite days away. Less than a month though.

New Setup Screen screenshot loaded today!  As you can tell, I'm excited for this game. :D

I'm excited and nervous about the whole thing. For example, we're doing diplomacy in a very different way. It's all conversations. Very asymmetrical. Very story driven. So much more magic. Pretty much every turn in battle for every unit involves magic. Especially late game.

It's getting pretty close for EA.

Okay, fine, you drive a hard bargain: $50 to access it now. Above and beyond my $20 already well spent.

Worry not, Brad. It sounds awesome. I LOVE asymmetry and I think a lot of us do, too.

$100? Final offer.

Frogboy, two questions emerge:

1) If I take minors´ city by force, will I be still able to train their unique units? Or only by diplomacy?

2) Earlier, you mentioned available units depend on a way we build our cities. Good. So will there be any hard restrictions, like mutually exklusive buildings? I.e. going through the mounted units building tree prevents you from going through after the pikemen? Or is there a soft counter, like increasing cost of opposite building?

Or do you rely on time as a main deterent of "build everything" strategy?:)

And BTW quick feedback I liked the spellbooks icons shown in the earlier screens (e.g. Sovereing.png) much better than the current ones (Setupscreen.png). :)

Any chance you'll let me in on a little info, Frog? I'm running a new 4X Fansite, www.explorminate.com, and that kind of news would really help me out.

No pressure. Doesn't hurt to ask, though.

I kinda prefer the new icons, but I would be happy with either.  What opinions do others have?

I'm in agreement with liking the earlier designs (from the June14 FAQ) better, but am fine with the new ones as well.  Question, have the number of Sovereign types gone down (8 in the FAQ, six in the new screenshot)?
