Auto Subscribe Sucks

Since yesterday....

Can't quote in forums, and I am being subscribed to any thread I reply to.

Windows 7 64 bit IE11.

I noticed yesterday that I also could not use the quote function in the forums.  Using IE 11 on Windows 7 64 bit.

Not sure but I think the forums automatically puts a check mark in the subscribe box, I could be wrong.

"I think the forums automatically puts a check mark in the subscribe box, I could be wrong."

You're not wrong, but it shouldn't.

Doing the same thing here also in latest version of Chrome, no quote capability and Subscribe box is always checked.

This is not a quote, only a test

"I think the forums automatically puts a check mark in the subscribe box, I could be wrong."
...but this is.

Wizard1956, which OS and browser are you using that quoting is working?

Since Support has probably not seen this, I'll try and give them a nudge today.

RND is correct.  I'll submit a ticket to have it fixed.

Also none quotable.

Sweet... and here I was thinking it was just me. :P

But as for the subscribing to every thread one replies in, I wouldn't know.  I do that anyway. :P

Well, it looks like the site still subscribes you to all replied on threads.   X|

That's a feature. ;)

RND, uncheck "Subscribe to this post" under the quick reply box?  Post, then check on another thread to see if it's reapplied?  (dunno... just throwing out thoughts.)

EDIT:

Doh... better one for you.

At the top, where it says "Welcome Redneckdude (Sign out | Options)"

Click Options -> View All Options

Uncheck "Auto subscribe to new posts and replies you create" and save.

See if that does it?

Unsubscribe is broken.

It lets you unsubscribe and takes it from the subscribe list. It doesn't however clear the notification (i.e. the number of posts that have new updates)

Once you go back into the post, you see that you are still subscribed, even though it is no longer listed in your "subscribed threads" list.

edit: Did check to make sure auto-subscribe is still off and it is.

I.D did everything...didn't need doc.

^ does need some love, though.
