First I would like to take the thank  rjhughes67 for taking up this project. Nacey has had a lot of things on his plate and so he has not gotten around to Distant Stars lately. He says he will occasionally pop in with comments and ideas but his time is being taken up else where. I, Ryat, will continue to be forum moderator and master bug hunter for this project. And maybe the occasional change/addition.

Second I would like to thank Nacey, -Ue_Carbon, Draakjacht, Stant123 and Skyline (the originator of this mod) for all of their hard work on this project. Also give thanks to all the modders whose mod projects we used, abused and otherwise mutilated for our own mod.

And finally to our fans. Let's face it. Sins of a Solar Empire is a very moddable game and there are some excellent mods out there. We thank you for sticking with us.

Well, most are good, but some are noticable when the same icon from another tech is used, and the new one is more blurry. The Gas giant one is fine, but I would definately remove the green flag on it since it really stands out. If I figured out how to get to the actual icons myself I could tinker with it a bit, but I still haven't figured that bit out lol. Don't worry about it though, it's a polish thing but not ultimately that important until the very end. :D

Been using this mod since it first came out, whenever I reinstall and play Sins again, I always slap this mod on it, it's all I need, FANTASTIC mod, can't wait for the new update! :)

Depends on what you call real. If you are talking about a solid state object then no. But if you are talking about imaginary things like electricity switching things in On/Off positions represented by 1's and 0's forming information that creating images on a screen filled with pixels reflecting various patterns of light then yes, yes it is.

Hmmm. You might want to try an internet connection. I recommend one that moves quickly as the "mod" is big. Well, that is if you believe it is big. You might believe its small and therefore I recommend a slow internet conncetion or USPS mail.

I wonder guys if it would be too much trouble for you to make random maps available along with the optional DS map pack as it is a pain to play DS then have to disable the map pack addon to play random, thanks in advance.

 

Love this mod its atmosphere, music and improvements are excellent even those fancy skyboxes ^^

We are working on that. Currently hit a snag and unfortunately I have another project that is due next weekend that is taking all my time. Not sure on ETA.

Please, if anything Sparkies and Fitters get along great.  After all, we used to bend and install all of your conduit for you before you guys finally educated yourselves in enough piping math to work out the angles on your own without us having to hold your hand through the process...  And without us, none of you would have jobs because it takes a fitter to build a power plant.  ;P

Game starts up great can last up to 30 mins when bigger stuff starts going boom we crash.  Was doing ds foreign invasion which crashed, ds the ai horde and ds kingdom of heaven v2.0 max player allowed per map.

A variety of issues are going on there mikefacciola

First is that you are using the 1.82 beta coding which DS is not designed for.

Second is that the maps are not fully up to date. They have some things fixed but we haven't gotten around to a full update yet.

Third is that usage of all the extras in certain orders has not been fully tested. You may get issues there.
