I see now, your wallpapers got rejected, so attack ID, bad form David. I would think if you were an artist, using a cell phone for photography would be considered novice, not artist. When you make a good piece of art. follow guidelines for upload,it will get what it deserves. Some pretty poor stuff makes it through, so yours must have been pretty bad,FYI.

 

I see also no skins in your library!@ Recent rejection there perhaps also?

Lets get a few facts straight:

1.  As I put in the rejection email, your "skin" was rejected because it simply didn't work on my PC, and crashed on one of our mods PC's.  Your skin was rejected on technical basis only.  If your skin doesn't work, it's not allowed here.  Simple as that. 

2.  Before you call out my credentials in public you might want to do a bit more research.  I've been creating skins here since 2003 and have created skins in just about every category, along with helping the community as a whole create skins. https://www.wincustomize.com/users/673228/Island%20Dog.  And my wallpapers, many of which are photos have been featured in popular photography magazines, local gallery exhibits, etc.  )

3.  These things are usually best handled in PM, but since you wanted to call me out in public, I'll responded here. 

Island Dog is Stardock's Administrator for this site. When he has time, he still skins. He is a Moderator as well.

Jafo is his assistant. He skinned when it was 1 pixel at a time and still skins very complex objects. He is a Moderator also.

The skins Moderation team is really good. They're volunteers with a huge amount of experience. All were/are skinners and/or graphic artists.

 

When a problem about a submission occurs, it's really best to try and solve it via the Private Message system. You can reach it through the blue nickname at the left of the reply box.

Who should you contact? WOM, Lantec, or Hankers. If one of them can't solve the problem, then Jafo. Let sleeping Island Dogs lie.

Since you haven't posted any skins it is difficult to understand where your concerns originate from. I'm sure that all of us are waiting with baited breaths for you to upload your first skin. You'll receive the much deserved credit that is due you when you do.

David, you'll want to ask someone here to test for you. Firstly, you may want to make a few friends, so you don't have to ask complete strangers to test for you.

 

You could try testing on a different PC for yourself, or ask a friend to test.

 

Or, like I do, you could test on a virtual machine, so you can test on other OSes.

It generally not the computer but needs to work with windowblinds. Do you have windowblinds?, do you have skin studio?, Have you viewed the turorials?

think you first attempt has already been judged. your skin needs to be in a condition that works and has been found useable by those that judge them. It's your skin, you're responsible to ensure it works. If you ask nicely, someone may volunteer to check over your skin but it should be in a condition to NOT crash the system.

David350, the actual reason for the Wincustomize.com 'Moderation' process is to give an opportunity for several EXPERIENCED skinners/skin-users to pre-check an upload to be sure it DOES work and does NOT do any harm to the General User. This PARTICULARLY applies to Windowblinds skins because poorly 'created/compiled' ones have the potential to impact on a user's computer, ie. break Explorer.exe. It is not all that uncommon that a novice skinner submission does exactly that. IF and WHEN such an upload is rejected it is the responsibility of the skinner to exact repairs and then perhaps resubmit. One could also seek outside community assistance if others are willing to potentially create issues for their own computers - on an entirely voluntary basis. The Moderation team does NOT necessarily have the time to solve each and every broken skin submission FOR people...;)
