I am working on a large-scale mod for The Political Machine 2004 to modernize the game. I purchased TPM2004 several months ago and have enjoyed the game very much, and only recently had a chance to purchase the latest edition (2012) which I'm still learning my way around.

I have already created dozens of new custom candidates for both parties, from recent nominees like Barack Obama, John McCain and Mitt Romney to more historical candidates like Dwight D. Eisenhower and Harry S Truman, as well as players from recent primaries, like Rick Santorum, Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman and Tim Pawlenty, old faces like George McGovern and Walter Mondale and new names like Tulsi Gabbard and Joe Kennedy III - and even a few fictional characters like Bruce Wayne, Lex Luthor and Khan Noonien-Singh, all with stats and images. Everybody has what hopefully seem like fitting game stats, although I'm sure some values may seem too generous to some. I also customized the game's existing candidates to use images to match, and corrected the names of Bob Dole and Jesse Jackson.

However, I'd like to reach past custom candidates - I'm hoping to look into adjusting the electoral college numbers to fit the new 2012 numbers. And if anyone has the Political Operative's Kit for the game and is willing to help create/edit issues and interviews, please contact me here and we can discuss it.

And if nobody really cares, I'll just upload a .ZIP or .RAR file at some point with all of the images and custom candidates, and details on how to edit the ingame characters' images and names to match up, and we'll call it a day
