Objectdock Plus 2 Config Screen not loading

When I first purchased OD+2 the configurations screen with all the settings was showing and working just fine but now when I right click taskbar Icon and then click 'Configure Objectdock...' I get nothing at all. The busy icon on my cursor is on for like a second and then nothing at all.

I can add to the dock but can't get to the main settings screen as it doesn't show, no matter what I have tried.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, also using ccleaner to clear any registry entries but still nothing.  This is driving me crazy now as I know it worked when I first brought it.

I can install the free objectdock and can get on the settings but not on the paid for version.

Any help would be really appreciated as I'm sick of waiting for a reply via support ticket.

What OS are you using?  What security software?

I am having a similar problem. I just did an install of OD Plus v.2 on my XP rig, no security apps at all, not even an AV. Running as Admin. Rebooted, uninstalled and tried again with the same results.

Both the tray and tabbed dock are showing on-screen but I get a "Please open ObjectDock before trying to configure it" notice.

I've tried the systray icon, the Configure Objectdock icon on the tabbed dock and ObjectDockUI.exe in program files. It will not open config.

Update to this: I uninstalled the paid version, ran CCleaner, rebooted and installed OD v. 2.0.0.0 Free from filehippo. The config window and all settings work. I did notice there is no systray icon.

No problems here. I got OD v 2.0 on Win 7 64 bit Home Premium.

Ross, this is with a fresh install on a rig that has never had ObjectDock of any version installed on it. YMMV.

I'm running this on Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit and running Kaspersky Security.

The thing is it worked great at first and then, no settings showing up at all.

The free version works 100% for me but I want my paid for version to work 100% also with all the xtra trimmings, that's the whole reason I paid for it but If I can't see the settings, I can't use those xtra trimmings  :(

Is anyone any nearer to solving this as I've still not heard from Support and I am now beginning to think I wasted my money and got ripped off by Stardock.

The issue was discovered on a Friday and it is now the start of business on Monday.

We've reproduced the issue and are looking into it.

A refund can be issued if you cannot wait.

I'd rather have the software than a refund.

Is there any way of uninstalling everything, Including any hidden files that might still be on my system after an uninstall, so that I can do a proper re-install?

Question: why don't you just right click on a dock and click settings?

Please download and run the following tool:

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/dotnet.exe

Use it to install everything between 2.0 and 4.0 if missing. (See http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/images/2012-04-25_1053.png )

Answer: Because that doesn't work either.

Yes I did see that in your comment, but I was wondering if the others were having similar problems. All I get about 3 times a week is a box telling me ObjectDock ihas experinced a problem and has to be shut down. I have to shut it down in the Task manager then restart it again. This has been going on for about a year and a half. In 11 years with all the Stardock software and this is the only problem I've had. No complaints from me.

I use Revo Uninstaller for that. Run on Moderate, then scan with it and remove only the things marked in bold print. You can get Revo free HERE.

Threre is an ODNT Zapper but it is rather old and I'm not sure if it works any longer.

I've tried this and still Isn't working and I have exactly the same Installed as on the Image Link.

Does Revo Uninstaller delete Hidden Files aswell, such as files hidden in Appdata/Local and Appdata/Roaming?

Thanks Wizard 5* .

I've just uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller Free and then reset my PC, downloaded the setup file from Stardock again and re-installed and it is now working and the settings screen is showing and I'm now a Happy Bunny   again.

Rather than re-invent the wheel (thread), I thought I'd chime in that I have the same problem.  Running Windows XP Pro, dot. net all up to date, previous free install blown away with Revo, re-installed and still no joy...

Waiting for my support ticket to be looked at but still nothing...

Rather frustrated and disappointed.  Loved the free one, figured I'd buy the full blown version for all the bells and whistles... only to find I'm no further ahead.

:annoyed:

I ran the tool, I have every version except 4.5. I installed OD Plus again and get the same error as before.

"Please open ObjectDock before trying to configure it"

XP Pro SP3

I downloaded the tool, installed everything as you requested, installed the software again and still get the same error.

What now?

I see Stardock has yet to acknowledge my trouble ticket that I've raised on this issue...
