Objectdock Plus 2 Config Screen not loading

Objectdock Plus 2 Config Screen not loading

When I first purchased OD+2 the configurations screen with all the settings was showing and working just fine but now when I right click taskbar Icon and then click 'Configure Objectdock...' I get nothing at all. The busy icon on my cursor is on for like a second and then nothing at all.

I can add to the dock but can't get to the main settings screen as it doesn't show, no matter what I have tried.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, also using ccleaner to clear any registry entries but still nothing.  This is driving me crazy now as I know it worked when I first brought it.

I can install the free objectdock and can get on the settings but not on the paid for version.

Any help would be really appreciated as I'm sick of waiting for a reply via support ticket.

I see Stardock has yet to acknowledge my trouble ticket that I've raised on this issue...

Ok, so you've known about this since January 4th, 2013.  It's now February 20th, 2013.

Is there any possibility that you're any closer to a solution?

I've raised a support ticket, and no answer.  (isn't it customary to respond to the ticket in the ticketing system?  I just happened upon this thread and have subsequently posted here).  I've e-mail support, and no answer (no e-mail response).  And the suggestions provided, I've already stated do nothing...  Clearly a bug in the software, and not an isolated one at that.

I look forward to some sort of positive response in the direction of a resolution soon...

Thank-you

Quoting Megaboost, reply 11Is anyone any nearer to solving this as I've still not heard from Support and I am now beginning to think I wasted my money and got ripped off by Stardock.

The issue was discovered on a Friday and it is now the start of business on Monday.

We've reproduced the issue and are looking into it.

A refund can be issued if you cannot wait.

Clever comment, but your sarcastic implication is that I'm getting some support on this problem.  A screen print with arrows does not constitute "support".

To be clear, I'm looking for a viable repeatable solution that will benefit all those affected.  This comment will do nothing but inflame the issue.

Let's get back on track and see if stardock can provide a solution for those of us that have PAID for this software.

Sincerely,

Support ticket submitted. Ticket ID: YJH-264-62757

If you have something for me to test out, I'm willing to try it out on my XP rig.

I get the same error message on XP: "Please open ObjectDock before trying to configure it"

This is what I got from support back in January:

Please close ObjectDock, then rename or move the 'ObjectDockPlus' folder under:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Local\Stardock
Vista\7: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Stardock
You will need to replace USERNAME with your Windows username. Then try running ObjectDock again.

This is what the installed path is on Windows XP:

     C:\Documents and Settings\Daniel\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus

There is no Local folder under: (and I do have hidden files set to be visible)

     C:\Documents and Settings\Daniel\Application Data

But there is a Stardock folder:

     C:\Documents and Settings\Daniel\Application Data\Stardock

I’ve tried creating the path support writes of, but no luck getting it to work.

I have the same problem with not being able to access the settings too in v2.1, although I'm using Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. I actually started a thread about it here, which shows the event log error: https://forums.stardock.com/444415/page/1/#3358299
