Fences 2 Beta Bug Reporting

Sorry, that may well be an SDC bug. 

I also have Fences 2 Beta in SDC.

Odd font problem with certain skins.. Naked Noir:

Doc.  Change the wallpaper to hot pink and see if it bleeds through the text there.  Then do a search in Windows Explorer and see if the same thing happens.

This is the exact same issue WB's has when applying an explorer background. It remains unfixed after numerous updates. It renders the option to use alternate explorer backgrounds useless.

 It's been this way for years, since explorer background changing was added, iirc. SD. How about a fix....please.

I'm getting the see-through text thing on my rig too, when using either Precision and Sublime skins.

P.S. Where do I post general feedback/feature requests?

Is this to say that if a ticket isn't submitted, it don't get fixed?

You support guys don't scour support threads for bugs? Then why have a bug thread if a ticket is required to fix an issue?

Fair enough, Zubaz. It was posted in the forums and by some very well qualified skinners, but that is not the same as an actual support ticket. At any rate, perhaps that bit of info will shed some light on what is going on with Fences.

Support keeps an eye on the forums and creates bug reporst when we see them.

That does not mean we see every post or every bug.  (But we do our best!)

Official support is always the ticketing system via email or the web page.

Im missing 'exclude icon from fences' in my rightclick menu.

Win 7 64bit, WindowFX and WindowBlinds running.

What is the sense in an official opening a 'bug report' thread then ?

I'm having the same text issues that Doc was talking about in his above post. I thought it was just another WB glitch , sometimes those glitches go away on my machine, and sometimes they don't. This one doesn't seem to be wanting to move along unless I change to a different skin.    -- Ace --

Odd, I'm not seeing these glitches with either of those skins nor any other skins....

Oh well.... It is beta...

I miss two features. But that probably isnt a bug?

I cant exclude single icons from quick-hide. And when it comes to sort icons in a fence, you cant change the order anymore (ascent and descent).

The problem with transparent text in the config is also present on my machine (depending on the wb skin).

Other than that an amazing job!

Yes I have rebooted many times. I just installed it over fences 1, while it was running. Now this feature and the other is gone for me.

Since it actually runs totally fine, I guess that those features are just not implemented anymore?

The Fences 2 installer should have prompted you to uninstall Fences 1.  Did it?

No it didnt...

I will fully reinstall fences.

If you disable fences in the settings, all visible icons of a portal are still on the desktop and clickable/openable (only if they have been visible while deactivating Fences). Like if they are now actually placed onto the dekstop, But if you go to the desktop with the win explorer. You will only see the actuall deskop icons. Refreshing does not help.

If you delete one of those still visible portal icons (while fences is deactivated), you delete the actuall file.

I can still scroll in the area where all portal icons are (it contained more icons than it could display), like the fence still exists. Even though Fences is currently deactivated. The process is also not running in the background.

I have not done a full reinstall, but I will do it now.

EDIT: Now I fully reinstalled it. Still the same problems with portals and those two features seem to be gone. I may can exclude an whole fence from quick hide, but not single icons like it was possible with Fences 1.

The Problem with the portals are not a big deal for me, I will never deactive Fences anyway. Just did it once now to deinstall it xD
