Daily Replays (SKILLED)

This is my first thread so don't mind if the topic is messy or something.

I will make 3 levels when i post and hopefully more will be posted.

Highskilled [H] 9-10 skilled
Skilled [S] 7 or more
Regular[R] 6 or less
EDITED ABOVE TO CURRENT.

I will also start adding if there are suecide players in the game & if there are eco players in the game.

First up: This is an intense game with alot of skilled players E.g. PlayerSlayer, Diehard, Carpetbomb, Ooloo and more.

The Deciding Factor in my opinion is Carpetbomb being able to defeat his opponent faster then anyone else and then being able to feed his team.
Tho I think there is alot of intresting 1v1's going on in this game but Carpet sent ~50k Cred and some of Metal/Crystal
Vs My teams 0, Thus ending the game.

I made a big misstake losing my Progren and wasn't able to recover from that and I also upgraded my fleet supply to fast resulting in a ~200 Supply being unused after I lost my Cap...

The most even matchup here is Ooloo vs Diehard in my opinion, also I would like to point out that Diehard is almost getting 0 Feed compared to the others in his team and still outperforming.

To all lazy people here. I Made a file Zip file with all the replays from reply 88 to the latest post as of now.

If you have problems downloading it from 2shared. Send me a PM with your email and I mail it to you.

I also Labled every replay in the zip to the reply# It has in the thread. So it will be easier to Watch a replay and know what I've written about it.

Some of the replays is from an older version of Rebellion but they worked anyway. Probably there can be some 'desynchs' in the replay due to wrong version.

Zip can be found here

Also, this thread has 2 Reply#101 and missing some others like #104

This replay pretty much shows that Vr is still Broken. After ooloo kills his guy he gets in some ecoish position. Sending a Sb to the front that is Losing. totally turns shit around. Starting to push with just the Sb and the AI fleet that's really tiny. Nothing the the opponent could do but watch.

A lvl 6 Cap ship deals about 1/32 bit of dmg compared to a fully upgraded starbase without debuffs. Even with 75% dmg reduction it still deals alot more then a lvl 6 cap ship. And it got 20k hull or more. It takes forever to take down 20k Hull. And It doesn't even require fleet supply.

Even if it dealt same dmg as a cobalt. It would still deal dmg and it would still be unkillable without taking severe punishment while ur taking it down.

Hi , i'm thinking of buying rebellion for mp. What are the usual time that players are playing this game online?

Depends on your timezone.
I'm Central European time(CET) And for me it's somewhere between 18:00 to 06:00 where I have the best games with alot of good players. That would probably be 12:00 to 00:00 EST. Or something.
I'm still unsure what How to PM and AM but iirc 18:00 is 6Am. So anywhere between that and 12 hours ahead.

2 noobs but Label it [S] anyway.

Alot of action going on everywhere in the begining.
Both noobs end up vs eachother.
Some stalement later on.
Game ends coz Slayer finished his guy fastest and could move on.
My team agreed to call it.

Well it should be labeled with [S] since basically me and corsair where stuck on each other while the skilled ones had their joy of fun :)

But even if you ended in stalemate I was expanding while holding back curious and had prepped everything for a titan, and since I was #3 eco the whole game I would have pushed through corsair within 10-20 minutes before you called it...

Was a gg though :)

I'm having trouble viewing replays. I put the file in the right directory, but when I open the game, there's nothing in the replays?

And before you ask, I checked single player recorded games, single player auto recorded game, and the multiplayer equivalents... nothing.

Steam automatically updates Rebellion whenever there's an update avalible, so yes.

I am saving it to: R:\Documents and Settings\(my user name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Record-MultiPlayer

The file is there, but when I start sins, there's nothing in my replays.

More information - when I recorded a single player game, the record saved wierdly. The game time was much shorter than the actual game was. When I played it back, it didn't show me colonising any planets, only moving my flagship around. Eventually, my flagship went to the pirate base, and sat there for a few minuites while it got destroyed. Shortly after it got destroyed, the recording ended.

In the actual game, I had truce among rouges researched by that point, so of course they never attacked me and my flagship never got destroyed. So why didn't it record properly? I have no idea.

Edit: I've realised I am saving it in the wrong directory. I found the right directory but then I lost it again Dx

It's R:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sins of a solar empire rebellion and then something. I think when I found it it was MyGames/Irodcladgames/sins of a solar empire rebellion/record-multiplayer or something, but now it's gone without a trace! Can someone help me locate it please?

Edit2: I've found the right directory, and put the replay into it, but now sins minidumps instantly on startup. Help please?

you will have to save the file in "MyGames/Irodcladgames/sins of a solar empire rebellion/Autorecord-multiplayer" folder. Then you will have to goto Single player and do watch game and select auto record mp game to watch.

Are you sure? Why would it work with auto-record and not record? I'll give it a try I geuss.

normal 'record' is game save files iirc.

Also Steam doesn't autoupdate at all times. Sometimes you have to manually update the game.

I appear to have no "my games" folder. I found one before but that was on the wrong drive; on the drive which the game is installed on, no my games.

So when I go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion, I can see lots of folders including MyGames.

But on R:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion, everything else is there except MyGames.

What should I do?

Are you using Win7 or WinXP?

The My Games folder is usually found under the My Documents folder (atleast for me in Win7). It is usually looks something like this "My Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\AutoRecord-MultiPlayer", (for WInXP might be slightly different).I don't know why you have two steam install locations.

Check if you folders are not hidden for some reason....
