Snow....you can always just rifle through the LS section.....you'll have a whole plethora of 'right click' graphics....;)

I might get excited if I thought you might actually share them.

Technofines is based on an LS theme, and so are many of the other ones I've made.



Jim, two main reasons for that:

1) The lack of a properly working RightClick. If it got 'fixed' I'd be chucking out skins right and left, faster than you could download them.

2) Many of the RightClick skins I've made are based on graphics from ancient skins, and some of the artist may be impossible (if not totally impossible) to get hold off.

But.... having said that, many of the skins are made based on 'living' artists work, whom i can get it touch with..
I know for a fact that'll I'll be getting more free time, soon. So... Who knows what the future might bring.

Uvah wonders that three. I have an XP machine too...too.

Yeah, but the fist shaking should not stop at just 'RightClick' 

IconPackager could do with some much needed love to bring it into the current century.  It has been mentioned many times before that IP needs to be updated to allow us to include desktop shortcuts to make everything uniform.  We all have desktop shortcuts, and we'd all like to make them fall in line with the icons IP changes, but currently that painstakingly has to be done manually, which doesn't make a lot of sense when most packages these days include additional icons for shortcuts to Firefox, MS Word, IE and many more frequently used apps.  If Stardock can allow us to enter paths to apps and shortcuts in other programmes, then it shouldn't be too difficult to include it in IP.

Sorry for the hijack, Snowy, but your fist shaking about RightClick aroused old feelings about the inadequacies of IconPackager.  However, I thoroughly agree with you on bringing RightClick into this century.  Many of us have moved to 64 bit since the advent of Win 7, and RightClick is useless to all of us in its current state.  You're not the only one who misses it, I and many others crave its use, but alas, it has been 3 - 4 years and appears not to be on Stardock's agenda for updating.  I did find a proggie called Right Click Enhancer that adds a few options, but still it's a far cry from what RightClick can do.

No sweat, Mark. We all need venting sometimes.

Since I'm left handed and have my mouse buttons reversed is it possible to get a 'left-click'?

Just kidding lol.

I'm left-handed and use the mouse in my right hand... for some reason it isn't comfortable and just doesn't feel natural in the left.

Go figure.

Sorry I am newish to the forums never the least sorry for the hijack, better than asking in some post's from 2010.

 

I am interested in knowing the position of "Right-Click" the program, is it in active development?

The last post's(2010era) seam to state that all development of Right-Click had ceased(?), yet I run into other posts

that seam to indicate that a newer version is being developed? Can you point me in the right direction plz.

Yes, RightClick would definitely help fix some of the inadequacies of Win 8.  Although I have found ways to use Win 8 as I do Win 7, there'd be no harm in Stardock adding another string to the bow by developing RightClick for Win 8... especially for x64.  I would never voluntarily run a 32 bit OS again, and I believe many other users here feel the same way, so yes, there is a need to update RC, sooner rather than later.

You, me and everyone else might, Carl, but I doubt Stardock does.

I cant see the reasoning either, WHY kill off a program cant be to hard to do.

Personally I loved RightClick one off the reasons why I bought objectdesktop.

Interestingly you can still download the program but it wont work on anything latter than XP,

Personally I go with the times Iam a win7 user will I upgrade to 8 NO.

 

Did Stardock ever give a reason for stopping development?

I like RC too (although I was more of an ObjectBar guy).

There is only so much development time that can be spent on any and all projects.  RC was not the best investment of time . . at the time.

It works on any 32bit system, even Windows 7.
The only 64bit systems it (kinda) works on is Vista.

Not that I can recall. Only that a new and better applications was in developement - turned out to be Tiles. :'(
