Visiting the Skinning Community

I did a thread a while back (2009) about visiting the many skinning sites in the WinCustomize Community.  Back then I was able to find a list of sites by going to the WinCustomize Help page, clicking on Community and clicking on Community Site Index.  Unfortunately that list is no longer available.  I'm sure it was dropped because some or most of those sites changing their location or just closing.

Well that just won't cut it folks, we need a list of available sites that are either home base for the skinners in the community or where they upload their skins besides WinCustomize.  So if you know of sites, are owners, admins or mods of sites how about replying and providing links.  We know you are out there vStyler, LightStar, andi18 and..........

:sun:

EDIT:  Oops looks like I should have checked the WinCustomize Wiki, now here is a list that needs to be updated.

Thank you folks, we have a nice start to a new list.  Wonder how many more sites are out there.   :-"

Other sites? I'm comfortable as an inmate  member here at WC. I don't go to other sites very often, but thanks for the links.

As for dA, I'd rather skinnydip in a septic tank.

Tom's site comes up with

Warning!

The flood protection on this site has been activated and you are warned that if you carry on requesting pages you could be banned.

thanks for the list.

gmc2 what site is that?  I haven't come up with that warning on any of the links above.  :S

I have never received a warning about Tom's site from WOT or from BitDefender. Not on any browser. It is a completely reliable site.

I just clicked on the link and got that.

I just clicked again and was able to visit Tom's page so it was not repeatable. (should have kept it open cause now I'm getting that message again as well as HTTP 403 messages) I block cookies and disable flash I wonder....

again, thanks for the links all.

I love skinning. I used to love 3DNA, but that's a program, not really a skinning site.

Yes, but there are all kinds of rippers at DA too, but it is still accepted by the skinning community as a skinning site. Xiandi has done work for an artist there...one bad apple, eh?   ;)
