We need some data.

If you are having this issue please report the following:

Do you have CFX installed? Yes.
What version do you have installed?   2.10.
How did you install CFX?  (Stand-alone, SDC, Impulse)  SDC Archive.
Do you see CFX in the installed software list in SDC? Yes.

Thanks. You're Welcome.

CFX 2.10 is installed Zu. Was....

I just installed the "fixed" version of 2.11 from the store.

It seemed to install ok. When it opened, my cursor was green....should have been yellow. I reset that...ok.

Now the shortcut that was pinned to the start menu is gone, the shortcut in all progs doesn't work.

Back to 2.10.

Ok, I found the issue with SDC.

*Not official support*

I uninstalled CFX from control panel, then deleted this registry entry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\CursorFX

After that, SDC will show and download the correct version.

See Reply #49 Jim. I had to fix the shortcut too, then all worked fine. :)

Understood, Tom. Thanks. But for the masses, it needs to work as downloaded. Adjustments and tweaks are for beta releases. Not this. The cursor color shouldn't have to be adjusted on install....defaults should be applied. My "pinned to start menu" shortcut shouldn't be removed. And it should uninstall correctly.

Zubaz, what ever you did worked, version 2.11 in now showing up in SDC and on Stardock, My Account, My Downloads page for me.

EDIT:  Everything is working now as expected, my shorcut for CursorFX opens it with no problems.

After Zubaz did whatever he or someone else did the update showed up for me in SDC, it installed fine and I didn't need to make any adjustment to the shortcut for CursorFX.  If you installed the update yesterday, if you all ready havent' tried, maybe you might want to uninstall with SDC, run a cleanup program, then reboot and reinstall and hopefully that corrects the problem.  I never could see the update yesterday.  Worth a try.  :sun:

There are mechanisms in place to beta test this stuff before release....dunno why they're not being used.   O:)

Maybe CursorFX Plus needed a reboot in order to complete the installation, but SDC just went ahead and rebooted without giving me any opportunity for a clean shut down of open applications. Worse yet, CursorFX Plus still shows in SDC as an update even though the installed version is now 2.11!

Just noticed that my cursor (Tesla) had a greenish cast to it. Went to CursorFX Plus settings and clicked on "Reset" and the cursor was again correct.

Since there is no beta or bug report thread, I'll report here that the Steam menu bug has NOT been fixed.

"Fix for Flip3D mode" Is that the change log in its entirety?

My install did not ask me to reboot at all, but  I did anyway.  I just had to fix the shortcut location manually.

It did however apply a shadow to my cursor that I had to remove in the settings.

Possibly because you think Thunderbird is an acceptable wine choice with a bean burrito, your local grocery store also has a few pool tables and your car and its motor are more than ten feet apart.

Related to the new release, why does clicking on Check for Updates in the About screen of the new release do nothing more than open the folder C:\Users\LightStar\AppData\Local\Stardock\StardockCentral on my hard drive instead of checking for updates?  Again, Windows 7 64-bit.

I reported the same thing. At least it doesn't point to Impulse anymore. ;)

The CFX 2.10 uninstall is likely not an issue with the 2.11 installer . . it was likely an issue with the 2.10 installer/uninstaller.  A manual uninstall may be needed (delete the folder and the regkey located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\CursorFX

This is, of course, also what we want the process to be.
