The music in Sins Rebellion is awesome

I would just like to say that the music in Rebellion is absolutely fantastic and I don't think people really appreciate the music enough so I'd just like to give out some of the appreciation previously mentioned,

Thank you for all the sweet music :)

(and I sometimes find myself humming it along the sidewalk on the way home) XP

I have the original Sins of a Solar Empire Collector's Edition and it came with a music sound track disc! Totally still listen to it today!!!

I have to agree with Mr. Haze. I almost cried when the Entrenchment Trailer music wasn't made into the main menu theme (or even included in any of the game files). With any luck they might include it as Vasari music... But I'm too hopeful ^_^

hmm... I reccomend GoaFan's method.  It worked.  Currently I'm listening to VasariTheme.mp3

huh.... I, uh... might have found a bug...

I was having trouble getting the dev console to work, so I just decided to run WMP in the background and turn sins down to no volume....

Well, I've had some weird things happen. First, if I zoom in on like a titan or something, somehow the music (from outside the game) gets quieter... My only guess would be that these crappy speakers dont know how to handle bass and maybe that's the result.

Next, after looping the same track a few times, it cuts off sound to WMP. If I alt-tab over to it, it's still playing but there's no sound. I have to drag the slider all the way back to the begining and then the music starts going again. My guess here is that the ogg codec can't handle being run/initialized more than a handful of times at once, and so it cuts out sound to WMP because Sins has the focus and wants to play some sound effects at the same time WMP is asking to start the track over.

Can anyone else confirm these 2 things as bugs?

You can grab the music files out of the Sound directory.  The Rebellion Collector's Edition we're working on will also come with two music CDs.

Is it possible to buy a digital copy then? There are always some countries that are not realistic to buy CDs from foreign directly.

Found a new favorite: "In the name of the unity" of advent loyalists. Ive yet to hear that in game though. Also i dislike the fact that faction-specific music only plays once at the start of the game, couldn't it be made to play more often?

On the previous page there are some ways of how you can listen to the music files directly in your game, which would be the same thing as a digital download.

They play more than just in the beginning, it just depends on your game atmosphere since most of them are for calm/peaceful moments.

Well I just think they may be the better versions than the musics in the game.

And what is more, I would like to have more information about the musics, such as the composer and so. At least all the original musics have no titles at all.

Maybe, but you'd have to be a real audiophile to notice. The composer for Rebellion is Paul Schuegraf.

Well, at least I still want to know the title of the musics. It is so regretful unable to buy the discs directly.

And thank you for information! +1 karma.

I am not sure if they have a title beyond "Vasari 2" "Battle 3" etc. Someone with the collectors edition disc from the original Sins will need to answer that.

One of my personal favorites has always been 'The Emerging Empire'.

Personally I think the music needs to be nerfed. It's just too OP, doesn't give other games a fighting chance.

Oh. My. God.

Yarlen, you listened to my post!

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. Will this include the full soundtrack from Sins or just the additions from Rebellion? If it includes all of the soundtrack from the original game, the micro-expansions and Rebellion, the FULL thing, then I will be in musical heaven.

If two CDs cannot contain all of the music, I would put 3 or however many it takes to contain all of the music. The original soundtrack CD did not contain all of it and I was slightly saddened by this. Still, this makes me incredibly happy that there will be not only one but 2 soundtrack CDs.

Thank you, Yarlen and guys at Stardock for listening to your devoted fans. The collector's edition will be so great!

There's actually a stunning around of music in Sins and it's not really possible for us to include all of it. The CDs will include all of the Rebellion music and tracks from the original game as well. All of it was composed by Paul Schuegraf - who we were lucky enough to get back onboard for Rebellion. :)

It would have made great battle music.

Which makes sense, given that the Entrenchment trailer was just Starbases blowing everything up, and it just wouldn't sound the same to me without the glorious sound of weapons fire and explosions.

Pointless fact: This trailer made me buy the game.

Well, thank you anyway, Yarlen for replying so quickly.

Tough I am a bit bummed at the entire soundtrack not being included on CD, this does not hurt my hopes for the collector's edition one bit.

I hope that the Rebellion music will be just as great as the rest of the Sins music, and I think that getting Paul Schuegraf to do the music for this game was the best choice to make, as he does an amazing job one the Sins soundtrack and I am sure has a great career ahead of him.

I must say I am in agreement about the Rebellion soundtracks. Truth is, I've always liked a few good videogame soundtracks. I love running to either good battle music, for which the rebellion music would be perfect.

So there I was on youtube and this popped up in my recommended videos.

Nostalgia overload, I missed this song in Entrenchment and Diplomacy.

Ehm, I believe there is a Sins soundtrack available.
Atleast, 23 tracks in my Media Player are by Paul Schuegraf and are labeled as Sins of a Solar Empire OST.  ^_^

I have no idea where I got these from though.
