Beta Tomorrow?

Seems like there is usually some kind of hype about a new release. Will it be tomorrow or is it going to be next week?

If we don't find out today, we won't get it tomorrow in all probability.

As seanw3 said in another thread.

Beta is next week now. They just posted a dev journal about needing to rewrite some black slavery jokes in the quests...

Or possibly, they don't know themselves, as yet.

I don't want to wait for you because your GFX will be DOA and your new PS will fry the remaining of your system...

This has definitely been the trend.

If it doesn't come tomorrow, I'm going to start getting impatient/frustrated.  I have no motivation to play .86 knowing .87 is vastly different.

either that or Paradox is paying Stardock money to delay the beta until Warlock comes out to get us to buy that in frustration.  ^_^

Look on the bright side Stardock- it's better to have your customers mad about wanting more of your product then mad about the product itself- that's not a bad thing, that's a good thing.

I'm assuming by the above quote that you haven't participated in many betas......

This update anticipation is relatively mild compared to some of the foaming-at-the-mouth fests I've seen before lol

Yes but too be fair most FE testers arn't twelve and the game isn't about star trek/wars.

So a little counts for a lot.

Well they said it'll be another week already.  They're probably just putting the final touches on it, trying to get as much done as they can, etc.

I like the way you think.

It really isn't much of a "beta test". I think they should rename the "pre-order and get a demo program".

Wait, I need a little clarification.  Has SD already pushed the beta back to next week (22 April - 28 April), or is there still a chance we may get it in the next three days?

There has been no comment about pushing it back beyond this week.

Well, I work in Manufacturing planning...

Let me tell you, delays happen in everything.

I'd rather wait for them to get it right than release something as buggy as the original Elemental....

We can  hang..

True, but this beta is not the final product, so if it's messed up, you just fix the mess up.

I'm thinking in terms of maximizing what I'm getting out of FE, and frequent updating does make a game more enjoyable, because you get the incremental improvements.  That said, this may not be best for Stardock.  Daily updates would be great for us players, but it would cost SD enough money that we'd end up with an inferior final product (the budget isn't infinite) and that would hurt in the long-term.

Yes, it's can be annyod if we had to start over in new game, well some of us do start over if new patch come up. so daily update won't do good, but 2 week to per month seem good but it's depend on deveper skill to find and fixed, patch up and knew where to find those bug or missing.
