Hey I was Just wondering are is Stardock going to be releasing a political machine 2012 or an update to political machine 2008? If you are making a Political Machine 2012 could you please add independents, debates, primaries.

You need to download and unzip the candidates to C:\Users\{username}\Documents\My Games\PolMachine2012\Candidates  Save them to your desktop instead of running them.

Look around that library to see the folder structure and put the files you unzip into the same structure.

I don't have Windows Vista so the instructions you sent me, whilst appreciated, are void. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Also, you didn't explain how to unzip a candidate file.  Can you please send me new instructions?

To unzip a file, you just need to open it with your windows explorer. I think windows 7 has built in zip functionality. Alternatively download something like WinZip or WinRar to open it up.

 

The instructions in regards to windows vista, will be practically identical, all windows 7 is, is what windows vista should have been.

if you are unfamiliar with things like zipping and file structures you should expect things to go wrong and consider fixing them part of the fun of modding. Otherwise there may be much frustration in your future. :S

Wow. I have so many things I'd like to say about the reactions of a consumer who believes the forums for a particular game are his own personal tech help hotline and revealing personal information of a variety of family health issues, but most of them aren't particularly politically correct. ;)
