Hey guys, I have seen a lot of just plain useless threads in my time. Why not make another?

I thought it might be interesting to see how many old timers are still here.

I stumbled across a record of my becoming a member here at WC.

I seem to be coming up on my 7th anniversary. Contrary to my current info.

 

Here is the real date.

Was just thinking....My wife bought me my first computer in October of 2004, a birthday gift.

I became a member here less than a month after getting my first PC.  Been hooked ever since.   :moo:

 

 

EDIT: The PC was given to me early, but the birthday was/is in October....but that's another thread...:-"

the same month I got my first computer for home.... one glance at the blue logon screen and the look on my face prompted my son to say..... 'there's this site called Wincustomize'....  went there.... and on dialup... spent day followed by night going through logon gallery... then onto boot gallery... then one day... noticed the Edit button on the logons....  :D   and from barely knowing what a jpeg was... and not knowing what a bitmap was... was the start of a great fun learning curve...

I didn't have windowblinds for quite awhile... as I'd had the Classic finely tuned to what I wanted colourwise at work and just bought that setup home... and son had heavier blinds on the trial on his profile which turned me off.... but I couldn't have tolerated Luna for a day... v eventually dragged me into windowblinds... and couldn't live without it... and the trimmings....

I bought my first WB in 1999... I believe around July, when Allen Bond won the 1st GUI Championship with "Capsula". At the time, I believe WC membership came WB as part of the deal.

I know my profile thing says 4/19/2002, but I don't think that's right...

I was still doing drugs and drinking back then...lol. I guess I got the computer early, but for my birthday.    :blush:

Since I got nauseated by naked XP, probably....

.... which was a day after I got my own and very first XP rig.

[wasn't the first day cos I hadn't figured out how to turn it on... being an old fossil n' all]

Oh yeah, been a member since May 14 2004.... 6 days before my birthday.

I lurked around for a bit before signing up...that was finally on June 22, 2002. I came to check out this interesting program called Windowblinds that I heard about from a email newsletter I used to to get called LockerGnome.   :digichet:

I was on a site called the skin factory  and  spotted the alien icons  and blind which was free then,  then click link to SD then to here been here every since love to get that blind for windows 7.
