Beginner Guides

from GalCiv2 Forums

Hello all,

Had this game for many years but could never dedicate the time to learning it.  Since then there has been two expansion packs so I decided to buy the game again - the Ultimate Edition and give it another go.

 

I think it has the potential for me to get into it but I wondered if somebody would be kind enough to point me in the direction of any good strategy guides for beginners?  Much like the civ war academy type.

Do you know of anything else? 

I was thinking along the lines of the Civ4 War Academy.  There must be over 100 articles on there.  Do we not have anything like that for GalCiv2?

There's the wiki, which is great for DL and largely accurate for DA, but as it's player-based it's still missing a fair amount of TA content, at last check.

I read DiveWrath stradegy guide I thought it was really good on the differences of the different races, but not being able to play any race stradegy. So he inspired me to write a stradegy guide. This is meant to compliment not to replace, but I would suggest reading mine first playing for awhile this is good with the terrans or torians but the krynn altarians korath or drengin work too this doesn't work this way for the Yor though Then go read the guides for the most part with some modification what works in Dark avatar and Dread lords works here except with the Yor. I call it basic stradegy nobody read that post I would like u 2 to read it and respond.
