Hi,

This is a mod editor for Sins Of A Solar Empire Rebellion 1.83

Only one project at a time (duplicate the Editor directory to support more projects)
All the basic stuff is in there
Read the readme file included for a disclaimer
Uses Filemaker and BaseElements Plugin, as well as my own plugin for mesh support
Filemaker 14 is required for the fully Open Solution,
Scriptmaster plugin is required (included in the Runtime Version)
Read the readme for the rest

 

Only useful for creating completely new mods (total conversions)

or as tool for resizing meshes in a consistent way

As of now this version is completely open, admin password and all. No documentation, as I've got no time for that, sorry. Not sure anybody would still be interested, but still. No support can be given. If you do want to tinker, best get FileMaker and have a look at it.

After some testing I found another few bugs and I also implemented Duplication Scripts fro Abilities and Buffs (Research Prerequisites for Abilities are not duplicated though)

I will wait with the release for more in-house testing.

Thanks.  I was using it somewhat but had some unrelated issues with mod things so I couldn't really validate the tool.  soon as I get a functioning mod restored I'll run it through.

Abilities and buffs have some show-stopping issues in the version you've got available that have to be worked around using a text editor. The development version mostly works now, but I need to add all abilities of SOTYR and test if they all work so that at least 60 % of the buff/ability syntax is tested.

After releasing the Rebellion version for SOTYR I will release the next (Rebellion compatible) version of the Mod Editor.

For now the changes are:

  • Rebellion compatibility/requirement
  • Titans added
  • syntax corrections
  • visual representation of prerequisites in the research trees
  • resizing of meshes to a global scale
  • hopefully Import of previous backups
  • automatic conversion to binary using the ConvertData exes
  • rudimentary mod documentation pdf export
