WC Community Skinning Project - Themed Skins

All the entries for the WinCustomize Community Skinning Project are fantastic and unique.  It is easy to see that the skinners have spent alot of time and effort in coming up with their designs.  No doubt the judges had to spend quite a few hours in looking at each one in order to make their selection.  Each entry is by any standards a winner and the skinners should be proud of their hard work.

The voting ended in a tie between two skins.  In trying to choose a winner the two still ended in a tie.  So the two co winners are:

I think it would not be fair for all the hard work that the skinners not selected did on their entries to not thank them for making an entry for the theme of the community project.   I'm am sure that all the WindowBlinds will find there way onto the desktops of lots of folks.  Thank you one and all.

Now that the selection is over it's time to open the project up to the community skinners.  Themed skins can be made for any WinCustmize Gallery Library.  Other then Wallpapers, Dreams and Screensavers all skins must use the graphics of the Theme.  The three exceptions should compliment the theme.

If you wish to make a skin for the Community Project just leave a reply on this thread.  I will update a list of skins and skinners as they are identified for each WindowBlind.  Multiple skins for all library and multiple skins by skinners for the projects are welcome. 

Once all the themed skins are uploaded I will put together a Theme Manager Suite.

I have just uploaded the CursorFX for the QED theme.

 

The cursor seems to have gone into moderation, so will appear in the near future.

Just want to check if anyone is working on any additional themed skins for QED or Neptune that I haven't identified in the OP.  Please let me know by posting a reply. 

If you want to make a different version of any themed skin identified in the OP please do and remember that any skinner in the community can join in and add their talent and skills to the project.  :sun:

I have a thought about possibly some DX skins for Neptune, may seem a little overboard but think about. 

I was looking for some stuff in the DX Galleries to add into the screenshot, like maybe crabs walking across the beach, or seagulls flying in the air.  Some subtle stuff that possibly the user might want to add.  Think of it for those folks that maybe can't or don't run Dreams.  Hmm, a Dream, now that would be something to also consider.

I have a Xion skin for QED, that I made a while ago. I was not going to upload it because I thought someone else might like to make one...but it seems like nobody has volunteered for it, so I will upload it soon.

guys, sorry about my absense.... had internet issues, and waiting for telstra to hook up my phone and adsl this week,

i bought a voucher tonight to try and possibly upload 2 icon sets i have finished, and i was lucky enough to get them uploaded.

kescowethianz and electric grid are now hopefully up! xiandis qed icon set is next.

ill try to reply to my private messages, but i only bought 190mb of internet! so im pushing my luck

cant wait to get proper internet, and im NOT moving anymore!! it sucks.

Currently there are 15 QED skins uploaded and one, icons, still being worked. 

Also there are 8 Neptune skins uploaded and two ObjectDock Backgrounds still being worked.

Are there any other skins being done for either theme that have not been identified yet? 

No time limit was given to have skins uploaded, I just wanted to see where we are, and bump the thread.  :-"

Currently I'm working on Edge smx and rainy, got three more in the cue (my cue ...am waiting on graphics) and working on a dock for Xiandi. Full plate at the moment.

Note to everyone: I have been told that the QED Xion skin was not loading right for some people. It loads for me, but for some reason, I could not change it to a zip file and extract it, so there was definitely something wrong there. I repackaged it and reuploaded it. As soon as it's out of mod, it will be available again. |-)

There is another SysMetrix skin on the way for QED by JuniorCrooks.  I will upload the QED Suite when it shows up in the library.  Now just because the suite gets uploaded does not mean that you can not add additonal skins.  :sun:  

Is there any new status on skins for Neptune?

xiandi......on a side note, when you do an icon package, are they saving as an icon package or do you have to zip them? mine are only saving as a folder and i have to zip them, they no longer save as an icon packager........weird to say the least hey.

Well, I have not packaged up the one I'm working on right now, but last time, I think it made it an IP.

If ya gotta zip them, just change the .zip extension to .ip and it should work just fine (you probably knew that already, but someone else might not and it might help them).
