Alright, seems the new patches haven't exactly broken the mod they've caused a few miscellaneous bugs and possibly made it more unstable. I'm doing what I can to fix these things but it will go a lot faster if I can get some more information from anyways. Hopefully I can have a hotfix out by the end of the weekend. Please report anything strange here or on the bug reports forum on the website, and do tell whether you're using Entrenchment or Diplomacy (as both got an update this time). :)

While this won't be in the hotfix, I've been messing with the textures on almost every ship in the game and I'd thought I'd show some of the results.

This is an amazing mod, and I can't wait for the next version. :)

Question:

Is it possible for you to increase the ranges the ships engage one another, I mean- when they fight nose to nose it does spoil the whole atmosphere of the mod.

Thanks in advance,

Sh0k.

Yeah, that's a bug that was discovered when version 3.4 was launched. The 3.41 hotfix will have it corrected (out tomorrow or Monday), plus add a couple missing Rebel techs.

Well keep in mind Sins battles in general are fought at pretty close range. To me that's not a bad thing because the large fleet battles of the Movies (Coruscant, Endor) were also fought at close range, if not noise to noise. I have been slowly altering the weapon ranges just so we have more variety with them (I.e. all the ships aren't clumping next together), and I hope to mess around with the formation values to see if I can't get fleets to look a bit more organized, but that probably won't be done for 3.5, too many new ships and abilities to do still.

Now this sounds promising, and we can't really ask for much more than this. Keep up the good work guys.

Alright, if anyone wants to try Requiem for Diplomacy 1.34 I've upload a beta hotfix. I'm not entirely sure if it fixes all the issues as I hard trouble replicating some of the problems people reported, but everything I found is fixed. Try it here and let me know how it works.

Download Here

I tried a fresh install of 3.4 mod with the hotfix on 1.34 diplomacy, and it just minidumps everytime I try to enable the mod.

Well I just tried again after downloading them too and didn't have any problems. x_x

Did you have the old mod still enabled? Make sure you completely disable all other mods before enabling this one.

I think the download was perhaps corrupted. I re-downloaded it and it enabled fine this time- will test it lots today.

Today, I've played the mod quite a long time and no problems whatsoever, and I've just nearly finished a ten player game with me and an ally V eight bots of varying teams. Lot's of fun and smooth gameplay.

Video setting 1680/1050;

Graphics settings are all on highest possible;

Anti-aliasing 4x samples.

Great mod! I downloaded it and the latest beta patch. After fumbling around for 20 minutes I got it working. I ran it for 4 to 5 hours and had no troubles. I dig those big Empire Star Destroyers. Music is a nice touch too. Appreciate all your work, stuff like this MOD makes gaming a blast.

Requiem for Diplomacy now official supports Diplomacy 3.4. I believe the persistent minidumps some users were having are from either having their graphics settings too high or from using the optional mod add ons.

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is but many users reported the mod works fine after disabling the Bailknights and transparent hud optional mods. If you are using these and having stability problems after getting the hotfix, please disable them first. If that still doesn't fix the problem, try reducing your graphics settings. And if that doesn't work, please send me the last save you have of the game where the minidump occurred.

And FYI this bug is now fixed with version 3.41. The Rebels will also now be able to get the first capitalship upgrade level as well as access to some missing defense techs.

Glad you like the mod! Do you happen to have the steam version? I'd just like someone to confirm that it works fine with Steam.

Yes I have the steam version, your mod works great. I played a medium map all the way to conclusion and never had a dump or crash. My son saw the game and had to have it too. He has your MOD going on his computer and it runs for him too.

Still playing the mod on max settings and with Bailknights addon, still no problems here (only playing Imperial side though). ;)

Quick few questions:

Is it possible to slightly increase the size of the fighters and bombers, and also make them the same colour as the ISD's (white/style mesh).

Is it also possible to make the fighter/bomber squadrons fly in a formation of sorts?

Thanks, and looking forward to the next mod upgrade with more ships. :)

Sh0k.

PS: Hope one day they add "ground war" to the game command & conquer style (with optional auto-resolve) for those that want it and those that want to bypass it.

1. Well TIE fighters are supposed to be fairly dark ships (on the wings anyways), but I've brightened the textures on almost every ship, including TIE (see my last pic on this thread), so that maybe what you're talking about.

2. Sadly not, especially once fighters start getting destroyed and replaced they end up all over the place.

I've released a beta for the next version of Requiem. It is completely feature complete (and there is lots of new content) just lacking some polish. Check this thread for details.

very nice mod. I hope the team had a nice Christmas

Sorry things have been so quite, I had hoped to finish 3.5 soon but I've got even more models to add in now, so it may take quite a while before its release. But here's the very late Developer Video I promised, showing off the mercenary bases and a few of the new ships. Most of it is available in the 3.5 beta on the website.

Hi. I downloaded your mod and patch file. (3.41 for diplomacy 1.32) and I'm using it on diplomacy 1.34. I started a skirmish, and when I clicked on the Tatarn build button playing as the Empire, I got minidumped. Is this because I am using the diplomacy mod on the wrong diplomacy? Should I just use it on entrenchment instead? Thanks for your time.

The Diplomacy version is a lot better than the Entrenchment feature wise. Try it another time. If it crashes on the tartan build button again then something is very odd and I would try reinstalling the mod or even going right for the beta. But I'm guessing its a random crash due to having your graphics settings too high (many big mods have this problem). Just reducing the details from highest to high for example can make the mod completely stable.

It was just a random crash. Been plaing the game for a couple of hours now and it works great. Thanks for doing such a wonderful job, mate.

I'm trying to run the mod on my new laptop, but it keeps crashing after about 1 minute of playing. I have Trinity and installed the Diplomacy mod, latest version, and the hotfix, as found on the Requiem website.

I get a minidump after one minute, when the game freezes. The checksum (before the hotfix, but that didn't change anything but the menu) was correct.

EDIT: Just read that high graphics settings influence mod performance? So turning down graphics quality will stop the mod from crashing?
