Hot female battle gear

Hot female battle gear

Not the highest priority but it would be nice. Gear in general is pretty bland and having girls in armor that don't look just like the men in armor adds some flavor.

Putting boobs on a breastplate is unnecessary since you can strap them down pretty well, and women certainly would do that before fighting.  Adding boobs to armor adds weight and deflects blows towards the sternum.

It's a bad idea.  Realistic armor for women looks like armor for men.  If you want something sexy, well, you're on the Internet.  Go find it.

This isn't a Medieval Knight Combat simulator (Buy Mount & Blade: Warbands if you want that(great game)).

I really don't need bikini armor to enjoy the game. HOWEVER - adding some more exotic armors would definitely be a nice touch.

Exotic Armors, and exotic materials, tied to Shards from that city, in both male and female versions. I also fully support the chailmail jockstrap comment.

I would demand, however, that if they make chain-mail bikinis, then we should also be allowed to have chain-male jock straps for the guys with equal bonus.  (I honestly want this to be an option just so people will say "wow... I can't believe they made this")

Chainmail jock straps?  I think this picture was meant for you.

Oh that's brilliant.

I want to encourage girls to play games, not turn them off.

No "exotic" armor.

Maybe, but its also not Leisure Suit Larry either.

You threw me off when you mentioned you wanted "something a little bit more realistic" than the chainmail bikini.  More realism = man armor.

Perhaps you could rephrase your request somehow, more along the lines of "I want tits on a knight."

TheBirthdayParty:
You seem to be arguing with a fictional character. I never said I want naked females or bikini armor.

No "exotic" armor.

Exotic doesn't always mean Erotic. Exotic means unusual.

For Water Shards, allow armor made from fish scales, with nice visuals, it might give a bonus against fire damage if they implement that, but would just be like chain mail.

And if you want females to play that are not already hard core gamers, providing a fashion tie in wouldn't hurt, and don't call them 'girls'.

I was raging earlier, I apologise for that - But I wouldn't call it nerdrage, surely quite the opposite? I blame my cat. He had brought in a mouse that I had been chasing and trying to find for the last few hours, and I was stressed :p.

Lol, no worries surge.

AkuYama - I like those shard ideas!

So "girls" is an unacceptable term, now?  Seriously?

You go on insisting on calling them "females" and I'll go on thinking you sound like a Klingon with Asperger's.

Seriously, the practicality of such garments would kinda ruin the immersion factor. It would be like Final Fantasy now, when 50% of the female character's body is showing yet she resists a punch from some giant demon-angel thing.

Meh. Just throw it on the "RPG-only" pile with getting struck by lightning 20 times and still surviving with no permanent damage or getting chewed up by some monster, but never ever losing a limb, breaking bones, or having even scars or how a character can shrug off arrows all game but in a cutscene an arrow irrevocably kills a character.

All that kind of stuff is just in that pile, so it doesn't really kill immersion for me. Break most RPG stuff down and it stops making any sense.

Having impractical armor seems to pale in comparison, imo.

Also, it would be nice to see mixed squads.  Males and females fighting side by side.

Especially if you're an egalitarian faction.

hehe, I have been called worse for less cause! Good point!

Women would definitely have been a better choice of words.

I gotta totally agree with this. When the design a game engine where you can pick and choose what real world physics and physiologies you want to use in the game, it might be more relevant, but not at this point!

Can I please veto this suggestion? Atleast leave it up to some unscrupulous modder. Lord knows we don't have a shortage of those around here...

Seriously though as a guy and a feminist I wouldn't want yet another reason for real girls to hate me for playing games.

Adante, 08/10 would rage again.

Unless you're serious, then I'd have to point out that Elemental having female specific armor (ie slightly curvy, like OP is suggesting and not chainmail bikini) would simply be a drop in the proverbial mysogyny ocean.

I could understand sexy mage gear... but armor is armor. It's supposed to cover, not reveal.

Just implement chainmail bikinis, and allow both male and female units to wear them. Problem solved(?).

I was over at ign.com reading some previews and I could have sworn I heard someone say chainmail bikinis? /signed. - I agree though; more unique armour animations please.

Just to let you no-life-experience dorks know: girls don't actually hate men for liking breasts, and they don't mind (even like) female characters being sexy so long as it isn't gratuitous or overly stereotyping the female figure.

As for realism, this isn't a Total War game. It says in the manual that women are as strong as men in the Elemental world so there's canon for you.

Everyone knew this was a fantasy game so quit whining.

Exotic caster clothing makes sense though.
