After some time-off from skinning (not my choice, been really busy with work the last couple of months) I noticed that RedneckDude had created a theme called Aero Station. He made DX goodies, ObjectDock backgrounds, a cursor, etc., but there was no WindowBlind!

I asked him if he would allow me to make the blind, and he graciously allowed me. I'm really liking it so far!

Brian....add the tab look behind the colored buttons (the background you had behind the gray ones)...just give it a try...ok?

looking good Brian, I think the winflag looks too low inside the orb tho, seems like a smidgen too much dead space in the top half of it.

 

I quite like the buttons colored, have wanted to do some traffic light colored ones in the past and somone always had to say something to put me off it. X-(

I appreciate your request Doc, but I've already tried it. As fanatical as it may seem, I tried probably a hundred different options with that whole set-up, and at least a dozen different window buttons. ;P I have already tried what you asked for, and it doesn't look right... IMO.

Almost all of the screenshot worthy progress has been done. I'm at a point where all of the boring nitty-gritty needs to be done.

However, I'd say that the W7 & Vista styles are probably 80% done. Then I'll have to do XP.

Well, things have gotten complicated. I've had a lot of responsibility added to me at work. I've been very busy, especially for the last couple of weeks.

I have a feeling it might take quite a while.

To make things more complicated, my XP machine died last week...

Made a few short strides today. Didn't skin anything new, just cleaned up some of the existing skin parts.

If my personal schedule remains as busy as it has been, this might end up being a 7/Vista only skin, especially since I would be skinning XP blindly.

Yeah, that's my one hang up. I know that the way I've been skinning this puppy, everything SHOULD work fine on XP, I just have no way to test it for myself.
