GhiostMatter: Let me preface this by saying that I would love to charge more money wherever possible. :)

That said, I'm not sure how we could make a digital collector's edition since most of the value is in the physical goods.

I paid $59.95 for the preorder beta, and you say I can get the upgrade for +$20, yet a new order cost $69.95.  So I'm punished for having already paid you, by having to pay $10 more in total?  :annoyed:

Okay ... so I was clicking on my Elemental Pre-Order .... and it DISSAPEARED!!! how did this happen????

My preorder total is of $69.95 ($49.95 the game + $20 shipping). I don't see how you could pay more for the base game? It has never been other price as far as I know.

@Ragnar1 - it appears the LE is 20 USD more than the base.  Handling charges may vary based on location.  So:

  1. Base Game - 49.95
  2. LE Game - 69.95
  3. Shipping and Handling approximately 10.00 for US continental area
  4. Taxes may apply

Lets say I go into impulse, go to My Games, and click "hide application". How do I get that application to be visible once more.

Also, has the beta update occurred yet? allowing others to install the beta?

I guess it could have been the S&H charge.  My CC was charged 59.95, I don't have an itemized bill that I can find.  I could have sworn the price was listed as $59.95 in the past.  Maybe it was just listed as the boxed set as $59.95 and the digital as $49.95 in a previous version of the website (with the boxed S&H included).  ???  No worries.

Being a big fan, back in the day of the Infocom games and the Ultima games with the "special little doodads", upgrading my pre-order to this definitely is a moral imperative.

I might be the only one who thinks this, but that box is very "meh" to me. The goods inside are definitely great, but the box... I don't know. You go for the simple and clean look, which I love, don't get me wrong, but then you stamp 2-3 logos on it, which basically destroys that sense of clean you were going for.

ok, im sold.....

 

i was disappointed when us guys in the UK got shafted by EA over our Collectors Edition of Dragon Age: Origins, but it seems finally a company is doing things right :grin:

 

i pre-ordered Elemental as soon as i was able, but as an electronic download copy... how do those of us who already have a pre-order change to this edition? i know its gonna cost a bit more posting to UK, but now its got all these bonuses its actually worth getting a physical copy (well i think so anyhoo)

 

I was thinking tho... many of us who are excited at the prospect of the Limited Edition might like to see a copy of the Novel as part of this Edition... i know i would.

what does everyone else think?
