MAC Version

Hi Everyone,

I am a GalCiv Veteran. I have played GalCiv 1 and 2 and enjoyed those games very much. Elemental looks like it will be a great game (I loved Warlords III; and this looks somewhat similar). However, I recently changed from a PC to a MAC. So I am curious to know if there is a possibility for a MAC compatible version of Elemental?

Thanks,

Wyatt

Not likely. It would be a surprise to many if they did.

Stardock is commited to Windows at the moment. Maybe if the Mac market share grew a bit bigger, they might reconsider.

For now, Stardock appear to be a pure Windows shop. Maybe Windows emulation on Macs will eventually be able to handle a game like Elemental, but the chatter I've seen so far makes it sound like there's no short-term hope on a Mac at all. But I don't follow Mac news closely and it's been a while since I last saw this question go by. Virtualization is getting stronger all the time, so maybe...

Just use Boot Camp on the Mac to install Windows.  It's running natively, so no emulation or anything required.  Macs are just another PC hardware-wise, and can run Windows just as well as any other PC.  I've never had any problems running games that way, including GalCiv2 and the Elemental beta.

Thanks for the replies guys!

@Cauldyth bootcamp is something I will consider. I have used it in the past in order to play civilization IV, but had some issues with XP.
